I also prefer to stay with 1337 coin, there must be other ways to reduce the volume if it helps with the value of the coin

wondering the same thing. people know that 1337 is great but the big circulated volume make them think that the price will not sky rock.

in the long run we will have to burn coins and or lower the APR.

Yeah I do think it would be good to find ways to reduce the supply somehow. Lowering the APR or something else. Maybe the staking for charity could help, in the sense that the coins in there will not be touched, locked away if you will. If those coins in there could be in the billions that would reassure more investors maybe?? Would be tough to get billions of coins donated for that though... Unless Velvet has a secret stash pot somewhere Smiley

Annual percentage rate i'm pretty sure. Basically the amount you get for staking your coins.

I agree with this though, it should be lowred to a small amount like 1.337% or something (to keep with the theme. Lowering the rate at which they are produced or somehow getting rid of some are our best options.

I think news about coin working on some projects could potentially increase price (see digibyte after their announcement of page where peoples can play games like minecraft, warcraft etc and gain dgb)

I agree, if there was an easy way to see current/future projects with the coin, it would get more potential investors interested in buying the coin.

I think people are misunderstanding what w00tcoin is actually for.
It won't be replacing 1337 coin, its basically a coin to be introduced to decrease the amount of 1337 coin going around. 100 1337 coin will be spent for 1 w00t coin.

yobit 1337 wallet in maintain mode for a long time.is that the reason for price hike or swap

Could be. there to lazy to update there wallet if you go back a few pages velvet posted some details about his contact with yobit with dates and everything until now no response from the yobit dev.
So it's best to avoid yobit for trading 1337 (and other coins to but thats a personal thing)

Best to use Cryptopia at the moment rather than Yobit in my opinion.

Also is there a reddit page set up for this coin? If not it wouldn't be a bad idea, the more people knowing about this the better.

In my point of view woot will yes help 1337 to grow and depending on the woot design can yes be a good swap part of 1337 to woot this will decrease the supply raise the price and we will have two currencies in the market with a good value if the developer Decided to make this second coin is because it has competition to keep both projects and soon qui woot is released can increase the value of it to anyone who does not want to keep it sells and buy 1337 again

The developer could drop some information about woot so that the community can already think about whether it compensates or not make the exchange
