What's going on with the wallet? Updated wallet v1.8.0.0-g yesterday a lot of coins fell, then everything died down and at 15:56 on 908405 the block stopped at all! There are 8 connections.

Hey i explained this today already but what you have to do is the following And please don't say after 15 min it doesn't work step 5 is important.

one of these steps should help

1 Do you have a backup of your old wallet?
2 Close the wallet remove it if you Don't have a backup DON'T REMOVE!!!!
3 Download the new wallet and run the .exe wait till it starts then close.
4 Download the snapshot and extract into your username/user/appdata/roaming/1337
5 Open the wallet again and let it fully sync.
6 When sync is done close the wallet and rename the wallet.dat in the roaming/1337 folder to something like wallet.dat_old
7 Import a copy of your backup of the old wallet
8 Open your wallet and it should work again fully synced and showing your balance

Don't forget the backup this is important and let it sync before you copy your wallet.dat into the new wallet yes your balance shows 0 till you reach step 8

It's not shit. I'm in this coin since jan 2016. In my opinion,when you try synchronize your wallet, better have be patience when wallet synchronized 1-2 days, but don't using snapshots. And check is your 1337.conf or 1337.conf.txt

Unfortunately, there are always wealthy people and orgnizations who purchase currencies and sell them at a low price in order to keep the prices down (allowing them to purchase more) before a big price hike. I think we're seeing the same here with 1337.

I just voted on here and on Twitter for No. I was all for w00t when it was first spoken of but since now we have all this interest in 1337 coin and that the price is over 1 sats then I think the main focus should now be on 1337 coin. Maybe sometime in the future w00t could pop up again but for now I think 1337 coin should be the main focus which Velvet is doing.

As I can't use slack due to my old laptop and windows system, just like to know if there has been any news on the promotions?

Yep at the moment there are people with a lot of coin with their sell walls up keeping the price down.
Once it's in more exchanges we won't have this problem anymore.

So instead of people worrying about how to get listed on those sites, try focusing on the development of the coin. If people see the coin has value, they will buy it and the market cap and trade volume will go up automatically.

I think the same thing, why to change to w00t and lose this momentum?! If 1337 coin headed to the BTC league you guys must keep the momentum going. Tweet a lot, make some bounties,  spread the word arround. Make a discord channel, facebook page, etc. Join your forces now coz now is the time. 1337coin have already a community. I think we should consider sponsoring some gaming contests, and award the winners with 1337. Maybe get some browser extensions up...allow for one-click depositing of 1337 into others' wallets if they have them listed somewhere.

Maybe we should get someone to write a program like folding@home, except instead of allocating resources to benefit medical research, it allots resources to improve performance for other people's games?

I agree, but I think this coin needs more use cases and value. Even if this coin gets posted on the good exchanges now, it will just be a pump n dump coin. Need to find ways so people will hold for long-term value.
