My wallet 1.2.4 is also stuck @ 250169. I had that problem right after the update, so I deleted the burst_db folder and let it redownload the whole blockchain. Now it's stuck again :|

Some users have stability issues with the core version 1.2.4. We are working on a solution and release a fix as soon as possible.

The core version 1.2.3 still works and will work after Block 255000 but the Blockchain has to be synced all over again unfortunately.

There also seems to be an issue with connecting to updated clients.  Since I have upgraded to 1.2.4 I seem to only connect to outdated 1.2.3 clients with the occasional 1.2.4.  I deleted my dB and reused the latest chain download but I still cannot get up-to-date.  Burst.ninja still appears to be using the 1.2.3 version.

Good-Luck

-[ANNouncement]- BURST version 1.2.4 'stuck' error.

We are aware of the issue some people are having with version 1.2.4, and we're working to resolve it. Even if we're unable to resolve it by the time the update becomes mandatory, as mentioned above, you can still use the 1.2.3 wallet, but will have to manually resync the chain.

We're all running high log level versions of the wallet to get the logs to core devs so that they can resolve it, as they are unable to reproduce the error themselves.

Do not worry, we will get it taken care of. Thanks!

All understood but now completely without a working wallet. I have tried to reinstall 1.2.3 and cannot now get the local wallet to run at all and with the online wallet  I get a java exception error & then Incorrect request, then it just says dowloading blockchain for ever. How do you manually resync the chain?

Thanks Rich

Sorry pool.burstcoin.de is down do to a cooked circuit. I think my avalon did it.
I just dialed in the pool too. The server well not sure, each item was on its own surge protector.
When the electrician comes it time to add extra circuits in the basement

Server good all mining shares intact, that will startup again in the morning 8am. Old server will run now

Hi i'm looking for advice.  I have a HP Proliant storage server that I use for multi-coin mining.  It runs on windows 7-64bit.
I currently have running.

  • 4 GPUs installed that are used for mining either ethereum (45Mh/s) or feathercoin (600Kh/s) - (depending on current market price),
  • One Scrypt ASIC for mining litecoin (5.2 Mh/s)
  • And... I also use 6 of the 8cores of CPU power maxed out to mine Groestlcoin (600Kh/s)
  • I want to add Burstcoin as I have 4 empty slots in the server where I can add 4 more hard-drives.

My question is,... do I have to install a wallet on the server?  I pool mine my other coins and have the wallets for them installed on my laptop.  Can I install mining software on the server but have the coins going onto a wallet on my laptop?  My laptop is not always running but my server is on 24/7 and i want to mine feathercoin, litecoin, Groestlcoin and Burst, simultaneously.
Also, will Burst conflict with any of my other coins being mined?

Thanks in advance.

Ok, thanks for the quick reply, i have a bit more reading to do but will soon add Burst to my portfolio and my *W@LLET TE$T* program.
I will install the Windows Client based wallet V1.2.4 on my laptop today and have a play.

As for my server, i will need a ploter too?  Can you/anyone recomend for my set up?

Plotters
Janror's CPU plotter (sse4/avx2)
cryo's (bipben's) GPU plotter:

Miners
Blago’s Windows Miner
(source: https://github.com/Blagodarenko/miner-burst)

luxe’s openCL for Win/Linux/MacOS
Highly recommended if you have a decent or good graphics unit. Highly increased performance, lower read times, and quicker submissions.

Uray's Miner
Multiplatform C++ Miner |

dcct's c miner for Linux

Dev's POCMiner in java

.....Thanks again and the very best of luck to everyone using Burst

Welcome to the community, greenuser! You could check out the main forum for 'mining 101' and 'plots 101': https://forums.burst-team.us/category/12/faq.

For simplicity I recommend you use the plotter and miner that comes with the wallet client you said you will install (CPU based with GUI). For more advanced but faster plotting, you could  check out GPU plotters and miners. For whatever you decide, I suggest you ask any further questions you might have in the burst-team forum, as you will get easier help in there.

Note: It is possible to have optimized plots which give you better read times. You can either use a separate program to optimize plots that were created earlier with CPU plotter, or you can use a GPU plotter in 'direct' mode, then it will create optimized plots right away.

@Propagandalf thank you, you are a star.  I have some time to invest over the next couple of days.  Looks like i will be spending it learning a new system.  I will head over to the forum and..... i have a rake of old HHDs to go through, just to make sure i don't delete stuff that has meaning to me.
I had read about HHD mining here http://forum.feathercoin.com/topic/8596/new-algorithm-uses-novel-method-to-extend-pow
I didn't realise it had been implemented.  Thanks again.

Lenore, the scammer behind the playground asset showed up in polo trollbox earlier today, so I informed one of the mods about him. I am not sure whether they will block his account though

here is his polo deposit address http://burstcoin.biz/address/12711328859236409265
BURST-C9XK-9ZYZ-U4PQ-DQXT2

Feel free to email poloniex to get his account blocked hopefully. I am thinking they might also have his ID details.
