Banks wont disappear but the business model will change.
Fractional banking will easily be replaced. And consumers will demand proof of liquidty. Organizations that have certain flexibility like Uphold that deal with multiple currencies and commodities will be the new banking model. I keep my money there over a bank any day. It just makes sense.
Banks are here to stay (unfortunately). People are so blinded by current economic system with banks as its pivot that are forgetting that in this system they are the slaves and a product - not a customers. Banks will just evolve, they took blockchain tech, use it to power their own altcoins (Citi Coin is alredy in creation!) and instead bitcoin will be pushed away. Well create their own coin may be a good investment to us ,lets say we will get a portion of the profit of the bank.Soo we would be holding a share from the bank but with crypto coin ,that we should be allowed to pay with bitcoin ,banks will offer new service and better as they will feel something changing . |

i doubt that it is possible right now to do that as people will most probably not go full no bitcoin as they are usually not interested on doing something new

Its not possible to say that at this time that bitcoins market will make banks disappear. The bank leaders are the master player and have their own strategy about it to how it will work around the whole world. We bitcoins users have to get support from the bank through ATM of the local bank so to get our transaction from bitcoins.

i dont think that one day bitcoins will make banks disappear because people will not use bitcoin at such a big rate, though i hope that one day this will happen

Yes, definitely banks will not disappear because bitcoin has no physical significance if somehow you loose your wallet then all your money gone and more over all the people in this world need internet access to use bitcoin. It's currently impossible which gives chances to banks to survive. |

Yeah there is no way this will happen or even could happen. No matter how much we hate banks and their fees, they are here to stay.. don't forget that. You need to watch the movie The Big Short and you will see exactly they are not necessarily here to stay. The public is being educated what crooks they all are and they probably wont be bailed put next time. I dont know what it will look like, but its wont be the same. |

yes bitcoin need attractive promotions. bitcoin should provide the best, especially the service issues and integration with other payment method. |

In some other thread like "bank or bitcoin wallet", I just see some advantageous of bitcoin wallet over bank accounts. I ask myself why I still hold my bank accounts. Definitely bitcoin is going to wipe out bank accounts.

I think yes you are right, it will take time to fix it as the mentality of the people should be changed first, their perception towards bitcoin is not good yet, once they are aware about the benefits of bitcoins, they would surely start using it but banks will never disappear. |

There are many advantages over what you say above namely you are in complete control of your btc wallet and the other you are not. You need bank accounts to survive would be the reason i think you are looking for. There is no definitely btc will wipe banks out,quite the opposite. It is good to be optimistic but come on banks are not threatened by btc currently they control law or may as well the finances of the world, trillions in paper and precious metals etc etc say no more. |

Yeah bank is boring one. I would expect bitcoin come arise soon. Its very transparent system no corruption or politics will not involve in anywhere. Banking system can moniterise by anyone. We can avoid many issues from this. |

Yeah even I don't see banks disappearing very soon in future, as banks have support from the Governments and most of the people are used to banking system and it won't be easy for them to switch to bitcoins so fast as still they are not aware about the concept of bitcoins. |

With the existence of bitcoin people have started to say that banks are useless, I don't agree as banks are also important for individual and businesses, as businesses are totally dependent on the banking system and they will need support from banks for sure, for an individual I believe bitcoin is a better option.

If you say just one or some banks maybe yes. but if you say entirely bank in the world would disappear because of btc I think it is not possible
some country even forbide the circulation of btc. how can bitcoin affect the bank in that country
