Like it or not:
You can´t Pay yor Rent, Loan or what ever with Crypto. Unleast not yet. You can buy a lot of useless Things, and even illegal Things, but you can not use it in Real Life.
That´s why at the End only the value in Fiat counts!
my investment goals are to maximize my btc or btc related holdings not my fiat holdings.

whether its btc directly or a project like lisk ...my holdings relative to btc are really what matters to me.

No, certenly only until a specific Target in terms of usable Value is reached. At some point will be the time to cash out, don´t agree?
The Idea of Satoshi was great and revolutionary. But what he did not count in is this: 99.999% of the World Population are not that smart. They live their lifes like Sheeps. If their Goverment would tell them the new currency are Bananas, they would immediatley follow it. And the establishment will NEVER allow such a thing like BTC to become the Worldcurrency, unless THEY TAKE OVER CONTROLL OVER IT. In that case BTC would be the new FIAT, and nothing would change.
Nevertheless its a nice Investment vehicle and even the adoption of Crypto´s is growing, at The end of the chain is still...Fiat!
