@bitfish: What's your point? If someone did a bad job on coding a blockchain app for his sidechain, it's same as if you code a bad website. Some coders are better, others are not. And mostly every website is hackable. So, you better know how to make your blockchain app, website,... safe. But that's not a problem of Lisk. And even if a blockchain app blows up, it won't have an effect on Lisk's mainchain. Only the ONE sidechain has to do a fork (or whatever) to solve the problem, which is no problem in my eyes. It's the same as with websites. Do you blame the hoster, if someone isn't able to secure his dedicated root server and got hacked because of it? Do you blame Apple if your Candy Game doesn't work correctly? No. You blame the website / app developer.

thats right. just what i would say.
if a dapp is blowing upp, only the sidechain with be effected, not the mainchain. it's that easy.
So if Lisk will be a succes with Dapps, the sky is the limit.
Lisk sidechain is the solution for a lot off things.

And always that bs off, lisk is for the ppl that missed the eth upprun.. Why you say so? wasnt you there?
I think most off us where in ETH same like me.
If i'm selling ETH to buy Lisk then i did miss the ETH upprun money? Hell no!! its about investing in new things. I would never take the risk off holding a coin like ETH when there are better coins.
I wont say Lisk is better now, but the future off LISK can wipe ETH out off the game. Or they will work side by side. Noone knows..

You don't need to buy Lisk.. Noone is saying that. so if you don't like it just don't buy. You will come back sooner or later i can tell ye. Grin Grin Grin Grin

Problem with Javascript based DAPPs is that you can never be sure that your DAPP is error free.
This may be OK if you are writing a beard oil DAPP but you better don't put a million $ into an inherently insecure DAPP.

It doesn't matter whom you have to blame if you lose your money because that DAPP blew up running on main chain or on a side chain.
Building DAPPs using Javascript is like building a racing car using duct tape only. Your system will fall apart.

Lisk devs (and Ethereum devs too) will have to redesign their systems using a safe functional language. If they don't redesign, somebody will fill that market niche.

A must read for smart contract investors and coders:

First of all: The term "DApp" is dead. Please use "Blockchain App" or just "App".

And I don't see that Lisk has to switch from JS to another coding language. Why? If you know what you are doing, you are "safe" as every coder is (no matter what language you are using), if not, better don't write an app. If you don't trust in a app developer, don't give him/her your money. That's it. Just to make it clear: If an app in the Apple store fails, because an app developer did mistakes when coding it, it has NO effect on Apple. I think we can say nearly the same for Lisk. But I am not a core dev and not a app dev, so it's just my view. Proof me wrong.

This is very true. The platform shouldn't be responsible, the user should. However, due to the inherent nature of people being stupid companies need to go out of their way to spoon feed and hold peoples hands or else people will get mad because they hate blaming themselves for fucking up

Wow, just found this:

Lisk will soon be available on http://Yuanbao.com . Extremely nice people work there! Happy trading.

And just for those who never have heard of yuanbao, yet. It's not the biggest chinese exchange, but Factom did this when it was listed there:

The volume on yuanbao was higher than on Polo and the first day the price was twice as high in china compared to Polo - until there was enough arbitrage.

Impossible to make a serious prediction but at least we can expect that it will go up if Bitcoin stays where it is, or goes down even more.

That's right.

This Exchange was founded 2013. Meanwhile Yuanbao has over 250,000 users and a large daily volume. In addition to Bitcoin, Litecoin, Doge and popular Chinese projects Factom is already listed, on June 24 MaidSafeCoin will be tradable and on June 25 -> Lisk.
