As everyone one can see The DAO and ETH are back where it should be but LSK a caouple of days is going down. It has nothing to do with DAO-ETH story. The price is dropping because almost all altcoins are dropping while BTC is rising. No one wants to hold obscure coins and they prefer to change them into BTC. This helps things to sort out what projects are worth to invest.

The Dao/Eth team should do this more often, hard forks.
It's because in a crisis, ETH (even if it's the source of the crisis) has dev street cred (Vitalik). LSK doesn't. At least, not yet. |

So I heard Vitalik going to hard fork any ETH coin sending to ISIS? Good job for him, this is how crypto should run. Hard fork and getting all the coins back if they know North Korean and ISIS is holding the coins. Eth is not for someone in North Korea or ISIS! Puahahahahaha |

Only my personal opinion but I think that DAO and ETH even go stronger after this. Regarding LISK, I think that it has potential but I'm doubtful that it can overrun ETH. My personal point of view is that ETH is the most promising altcoin and it can sustain its value during the rise of BTC. |

So everytime the Dao or any other Ethereum dapp and a big issue then the only way to stop it is to do a hardfork? If so how can this be a good thing as the Ethereum network of users increases? What happens when more than 1 dapp have issues with in a 2 week period? Does that mean multiple hard forks during that 2 week period? When you add in timezones and millions of users this will be a TKO with a mortal kombat finishing move in waiting! Over the long run, maybe - but for a while ETH's gonna be damaged goods, like bitcoin. It's tainted by this. Its devs are tainted by this - both the security hole, which shouldn't have happened, and by the fork. People were looking at ETH as a refuge from BTC's failures, when it has failures of its own. That's going to put an upper limit on how much it rises from here. Remember, it was on an uptrend before today. It wont be on as much of an uptrend for a while. |
