I didn't download keys file, but simply copypasted private key (passphrase) from showed keys page. Is it enough for me?
having the passphrase is enough, but why you didn't download the whole txt?

Ugh, it was my flaw. I thought it was enough for me.
I did copy of whole showed keys page, e.g.:
Passphrase
bla-bla-bla
Address
Long Number L
Public Key
Some hex string

Now I can only speculate what was in keys txt file. Can you confirm that info in keys page = info in downloaded txt file? Thanks.

Yes this is enough. Make sure to validate your keys as soon as this is possible. Doesn't take long anymore.

Missed the ICO, I'm cursed LOL
Let's see how this performs in few weeks.

No worries! You will probably get it cheaper between 2-4 weeks after it has launched on exchanges Smiley

Don't underestimate the amount of people who want to buy in or get more Lisk. I'm one of them... So price may drop but not as much as you think/hope Wink

I expect that it will start at a high level. That's usually the case after ICO's in the first minutes on an exchange. Question will be if it will be stabilize above or below ICO-price.

I'm not sure. The only thing I'm sure about is that I have ~50 BTC to buy up Lisk at the exchanges, in case I can get them under ICO price.

I know 50 BTC is not that much, but I'm convinced some of the whales are ready to go...

If price doesn't drop under ICO price, I won't buy more though.

You and I sir are on the same boat. I have bought enough Lisk so not that greedy if it seems cheap I shall sweep in.

i hope for the success of the project that the price opens down on the ICO price to encourage app developers to buy Lisk at little cost. A low barrier to entry will help enormously in the medium to long term.

They can buy even higher than the ico price and it will be a success anyway

Yes, there will be monthly transparency reports. We will tell how much BTC/USD went to marketing, how much to salaries, how much to hardware, how much to infrastructure.. And so on. Wink
That would be great.

I still dont get when the devs of succesful ICO team says, we dont spend a single satoshi on market support.
If I have 6 million at my disposal to make a product succeed, I would be willing to buy back from the market below ICO price, which I can dilute later when the features are delivered - making more money for the further development of the coin. If the devs cant do that, it shows lack of faith in their own coin  to me.

Right!

WRONG!

Interesting perspective.

Right!

WRONG!

If Apple, JP Morgan and Bank of America can do multi billion dollar buybacks then so can Crypto teams, it would be nice if the Lisk team put up some of their own big bid walls when the market inevitably pumps to aid the process and get the big publicity that a big marketcap results in   Cheesy

Buy wall was popular in 2014 at least. Usually it was shady moneys, which didn't have any interesting to offer.

If you read the instruction manual of the famous pumper wolong then you will see it's more complicated than that.. no doubt the same tactics were used in the pumping of ethereum with also volumizing pumping bots/HFTs running 24 hours a day 7 days a week to get that big volume that ethereum and bitcoin have. It's also the same way Bitcoin pumps work, the biggest of them all. they have so many pumping and volumizing algos it's not even funny.

I think you certainly have a chance To get elected with your background and machine setup. This is the core what delegate should provide and it might be enough at the beginning but in the long run people who are adding k value beside taking care about the node will be elected. There are  many ways to do so.. There is no need to have best hardware to run a node, but I doubt that anyone with regular desktop gonna be voted

Please post on https://forum.lisk.io,  there is a section for delegates there where we can have all candidates in one place,  and later they can update what they are doing for Lisk. You can count on my vote

Thanxs for your answer. I will build a thread post under 'https://forum.lisk.io/viewforum.php?f=6&sid=e8aa633055e50ed333c7d65d5cf164f4' as you suggested. I will also start to build my own list of delegate I wish to vote for... and finally start to build the dedicated node. Do you guys have a preferred Linux DIstro for this kind of setup or a Windows Server 2012 R2 would be ok ? or a Windows 10 licence would do the Job since no 'server os' feature seem to be needed ?

It's not about pump, it's about official ICO fund spending. Official buy wall it's shady (non respectable) for me : like everyone is afraid of dumps and asks devs for support. Pity.
As regards Ethereum, I'm sure most part of the ICO was bought by a single person/group and there was no official buying.

Maybe official support isn't the way to go. I hope to see some permanent algo/HFT love from the community for Lisk like bitcoin, litecoin and ethereum and maybe a few others have.

Hi Lisker's!

In my professionnal life I have over 15+ years of experience as web developer and sysadmin.
I now work in a big cloud company as SysAdmin DevOps Senior. I follow this project for the last month and I invested a fair share in the ICO. Also I plan to be active on the voting system. (The right to vote give the right to bitch, sorry translated expression)

What I can offer is:

- Dedicated physical server (Dell R200 with Xeon Quad core, 4 GB Memory, Battery backup and RAID1 HDDs)

- Dedicated VLAN for network isolation

- Top of the line security system (firewall/antivirus/monthly security update/etc)

- Professional monitoring system to minimize downtime to planned maintenance

- Always up-to-date lisk software

- Sharing reward to fund good dapp project

What I can't offer is 'over promotion', 'buying vote system', etc.

Do you think it worth it that I start preparing a dedicated server to be delegate ?
Do you think best setup over 'social media/ forum popularity contest' will have chance to be 'elected'?

I'm not only asking this question to decide if I'll run for delegate but also I have concern that popular joe blow with basic desktop computers will run those nodes. After reading the guide, I'm asking myself about security audit of the known ip of the elected node, also about ddos protection ... Do you think 101 nodes is enought to protect against those treats ? Could it be problematic to the project ?
added

I decided to go for it. I already added you to my list. You seem to have a pretty neet list already built. Can you PM me the content I want to check the names by mysleft to 'score' them so I know a little bit for whom I'm gonna vote before lauch.
