How do you store your bitcoins?

i mostly have my BTC on paper wallets in a safe, but i do keep a small amount in breadwallet just for showing people and send small amounts.  I think for long term storage paper wallets or offline hardware wallets are the way to go, the difference being paper wallets are free, which i like

I keep some on my phone, and most in coinbase.

One of the ways to avoid things like that, a fire, the paper gets lost or old is to have a copy in a different location than the one you have in your home, like in a security box or the house of a family member, that way you diversify your risks and the chance of losing both of your copies at the same time is very low.

I agree, better to have a back up copy of your paper wallet. Any disaster can happen and you paper wallet can be lost in your side and the bitcoin stored in that paper wallet will lose too. Better to have back up in all wallets you have.

I am a coinbase user about 2years past.Still now ,i am using coinbase wallet. i have store my coin in online wallet.When i earn Bitcoin,i sold them for local curency and sometimes i take recherge from online using my coin.Now a day's i am thinking about store my coin.Because i wanted to be Bitcoin trader.Desktop or hardware wallet are best for stored bitcoin i heared it by this forum member.But i have no idea about those wallet. But i will learn quickly using those wallet. those wallet are fully safe and secured.

I tried few desktop wallets, Electrum seemed pretty much best and easiest to use, very friendly, and maybe somewhat basic userface. For hardware wallet I only tried Ledger HW1, I was also new at this, but with little help from internet you'll learn it really fast. I think there is official video on their website, and also you get manual when you order it.
If you gonna use bitcoin for trading I dont see problem in keeping some small amount on exchange.

Online wallet is best for small amouny of money and for a huge transaction. I am using online wallet because i have to do many transaction in a day.So why online wallet is very important me.But online wallet aren't safe ans secure .Anytime hacker can attack our wallet and steal our all of money.Desktop wallet is Best for stored coin.Till now,i haven't face any problem with my online wallet.

Without the right precautions even your desktop wallet might not turn out to be very safe. Just imagine how many people don't secure their wallet files with proper passphrases. Some people don't even use a passphrase just for the purpose of it being much quicker and more "convenient". I rather work less convenient but have everything secured properly, than leaving everything open where it becomes an easy target for malware.

for active internet users and traders, Online wallet and hot wallet is preferable but for investors, cold wallet is better

I made my Main Wallet in Blockchain.info reason seems safer to purse Online and I also use Wallet Desktop "multibit" The absolute operationalized for users but does not preclude the possibility of using another after getting information from this forum Will be studied for it!

I store in bitcoins in mycelium wallet in different different address , or sometimes in a cold storage to connect it with the mycelium wallet like a pendrive.

online wallet is very practical to use. I also use it, especially the version of the mobile wallet. but if I had more than 100btc, I prefer to use a wallet with a full sync client. This is the kind of wallet with the best security.

Do you store your bitcoins online or on a wallet on your computer, perhaps cold storage?

I stored it in online wallet it easy to used and easy to transfer bitcoin.  So choose it online wallet because i used only cellphone.  But i used online wallet for 3 years and i never had a problem before untill now.

I agree, offline wallet is only for those people who didn't use the internet that much and did invest all of their money on bitcoin and just waiting for the right time to convert it, because putting it all online might take a certain consequences like it could be hack by someone and steal. But it doesn't mean that an online wallet is not safe, it will not become safe if you are not going to check it day by day since you don't use the internet that much because just like what I've said, a certain person who just have invested all of his money in bitcoin is just waiting for the right time to convert it to fiat.

That is why, that certain person is just using internet only to check the bitcoins price everyday but not this wallet.

Actually it is not. But some dont have a choice specially those who dont have computers and just relying on mobile phones.
Even though it is risky we just have to use it. I am one who just rely on this online wallets when I first came in knowing bitcoin and as it grows you would really need something that would really secure all of your funds. You spent so much money investing in bitcoin so why not invest also in making it safe.

I stored my bitcoin in online wallet like xapo because i used it for a years and i like xapo because no transaction fee and very safe here. Some online wallet are the payment transaction is so high. I think some only here used online wallet but i think is more safest than to offline wallet.

Online wallets are more secure than the earlier days. Everything in the internet is vulnerable, at the same those vulnerability can also be overcome by the developers effort. So I prefer blockchain wallet than the offline wallets that are available to support storage of bitcoins.

If you are asking me where i manage my bitcoins,
I always prefer using blockchain,and I have an account on coinbase also.
If there are any problems with the transactions I try coinbase.
You can also store them in your usb drive.Many people do that.
I always consider blockchain to be the best best ,
Because it is very easy to use according to me.
These views may differ from person to person.
Some may like offline storing their bitcoins,
While some might use blockchain,coinbase,xapo, zebpay etc.

But, what if the problem is the dev itself who have control over the whole addresses in the database and plotting to gather bitcoin as many as possible and end up scamming their clients?
That's right if everything on the internet is vulnerable, but, if you have an offline wallet, it can be disconnected from the internet.

Though even if online wallets are more secure today as you said, doesn't mean it doesn't have a hole.

Security while it's a very important aspect, is not what I consider to be a major threat anymore nowadays. Insider theft from employees is the biggest problem one could face. It's easy for exchanges and other services to blame hackers for the theft they themselves are responsible for. I always keep saying; if you are not the only entity owning your private keys, you don't actually own anything. It's an unnecessary risk that people expose themselves to.
