Im recently storing my bitcoins to online wallets as they are not that much to be stored in hdd wallets like bitcoin core or electrum, but if i have enough  bitcoins for storing then i will store them in my pc in electrum and bitcoin core wallets, i hope they will be safe there.
i am also using online wallet to store my bitcoins and when ever my bitcoin increase from a certain limit then i i uses multiple wallets to store my bitcoins.
Is there a certain limit for a particular online web wallet?I dont encounter one since you could able to store how much as you can and theres no limit on storing bitcoin.Even thousands of bitcoin would be still okay.In my situation i do store on an online web wallet too because i do only use it for online transactions
a friendly reminder from me , don't use a third party wallet service to store your bitcoin especially when you have a huge amount. paper wallet is the best choice , a lot of bitcoin high holder use it as it is the most secure wallet.

unless if you store small amount only and for daily spend purpose , then online wallet is okay.

Right, better try than sorry later. It is not advisable also to store only it for long wallet. Though it can really increase by just storing it but there are a lot more that btc can be profitable. It is also good to store btc in not just one wallet make it spreaded but make sure they are legit.

I recently bought a Ledger Nano hardware wallet on which I stored the majority of my Bitcoins. On my
Android phone I have about 0.5 BTC stored and a little on Poloniex, which I use for altcoin trading to
increase my total volume of Bitcoins Wink

I think he is confused or new to trading. Anyway if you are interested in trading you need to learn a lot of things about trading. Come to the topic I will store my coins in an online wallet. And I will not keep my coins more days in wallet I will use that coins to play gambling and will sell coins and make fiat currency. So for me, online wallet is safe.

Hello everyone as the title says ^
Do you store your bitcoins online or on a wallet on your computer, perhaps cold storage?

i am new in bitcoin and my brother prefer me to store my bitcoin in blockchain. because i also think that online wallet is more practically and simple.

Most of btc is stored on hardware wallet, in my opinion safest way to hold them. Some small amount is on casino, my biggest vice. And some on faucets and exchanges. Everywhere I can I use maximum protection, like 2 step verification and hard passwords.

there are may bitcoin wallet to store all our bitcoin but i choose to put my bitcoin is multiple wallet to minimize the risk of my money.
That is what most people do and it is definitely a good way to store your Bitcoin. You take away a lot of the risk compared to keeping all of your Bitcoin into one wallet. I personally just bought a new trezor wallet which is where I store most of my Bitcoin. But I also have a Coinbase wallet that I store a small amount of money. This is because I use coinbase on my phone so that I can make transactions on the go without having to take out my laptop. I don't really use any software wallets, but I might start using them in the future instead of Coinbase.
Everyone must find a system that works for them if you are comfortable with what you are using that i fine since your system is good and you understand the risks, I prefer to have my wallets in an encrypted computer and I have the backups in an encrypted usb, that works for me.

i might use online wallets like blockchain.info as it is more easy to use and very convinient. you can use it any time and anywhere. you can access it everywhere not like the computer based wallets. you just need to have a data connection by using it. you can access it on your mobile phones. and this days data connection is not a problem any more as almost all of the country has a good signals for their data.

I only use android phone wallet because I do not have an incredible amount of Bitcoins, and it is fast, secure and I can spend my Bitcoins wherever I go. And I do not really have space or time to download Bitcoin core, the mobile wallet is good enough for me.

I tried few desktop wallets, Electrum seemed pretty much best and easiest to use, very friendly, and maybe somewhat basic userface. For hardware wallet I only tried Ledger HW1, I was also new at this, but with little help from internet you'll learn it really fast. I think there is official video on their website, and also you get manual when you order it.
If you gonna use bitcoin for trading I dont see problem in keeping some small amount on exchange.

to me i personally stores my bitcoin in online wallets, according to some people online wallets are risky and there are more chance that your wallet will be hacked and your bitcoin will be stolen.

i mostly have my BTC on paper wallets in a safe, but i do keep a small amount in breadwallet just for showing people and send small amounts.  I think for long term storage paper wallets or offline hardware wallets are the way to go, the difference being paper wallets are free, which i like Smiley

You don't think that's risky?
what if you have fire? (assuming your safe isnt fire proof)

I keep some on my phone, and most in coinbase.
