i  used blockchain. but the fee too high for high speed transaction.
Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

Hello everyone as the title says ^
Do you store your bitcoins online or on a wallet on your computer, perhaps cold storage?
I store my bitcoin on my wallet. I know it is safe and I don't like the other options like cold storage. I prefer to the bitcoiners that save your bitcoins in a walle because it is safe and it will not hacked or harm by others.

I store the little Bitcoin that I have in an online wallet (block chain.info). Most people are opposed to storing Bitcoin on online clients but I haven't run into any problems thus far. I keep a copy of my private keys in a .txt file on my computer and in cloud storage.

You will need hardware wallet when you have big amount of bitcoin, ledger nano s, keepkey and trezor is the best hardware wallet, but trezor is number one for me.

Sepertinya sudah waktunya, kalau menurut saya lebih baik lump sum sekarang. 30/01/2024.

Everyone has his own taste and there are many wallets options that can be used and all have their own deficiencies and advantages and I prefer to store bitcoin in the web wallet and I think almost all wallets have the same risk.

Currently the total amount of BTC I have is minuscule, therefore not using a complicated and more secure method since these are few and I use them regularly to conduct transactions (and looking them would make access harder), I use a webwallet (blockchain.info) and keep a small sum in Electrum.

have a small amount and keeping them for paying orders on the digital goods section on the forum so having fast access to them is necessary, electrum 2.8.2 is one of the best programs let alone wallets i've seen. quick to use and uncomplicated, and don't need to download 100 gb of blocks.

I use electrum as well. I've been using it for over a year and so far so good. I don't have a serious problem while using it. For me electrum is good choice to store our bitcoin for future use.

I used to use electrum but right now, I do not use it anymore and currently I am using bittrex exchange wallet. I know that it sounds awful but I have to do that. The fee is very high and we can not decrease it. Therefore, using exchange wallet is the best way to reduce the fee

I didn't know that keeping bitcoins on web wallets is safe, because I think web wallets are pretty vulnerable to hackers. If I'm not wrong 500 million dollars worth of bitcoin have been stolen in the blockchain way back 2015 (correct me if I'm wrong) but the hacker have been caught by the authorities, that is why I prefer to use hardware wallets.

Generally speaking, hardware wallets offer you a wide set of handy features, but they are not a necessity when it comes to secure storage of your holdings ~ it's just optional.

I always refer people to creating themselves a couple of paper wallets for the coins they hodl as long term investment/store of value. It's easy to set up, and it's free after all.

Convenience shouldn't be a concern since these coins are meant to stay offline for a long period of time. I always value security over convenience when it comes to cold storage.

Coinbase is under a lot of scrutiny these days, but they do have a Bitcoin & altcoin VAULT that requires TWO different emails, plus 2FA plus 48 hours notice to withdraw

I put about half of my 'Coin in there. Long term.

It's convenient to use Coinbase for arbitrating.

What a wild ride, especially in the past few months....

although I also put all my bitcoins in online wallet but I think online wallets are not 100% safe., because we have already so may experience from our daily life. for this purpose I have distributed may bitcoins in different wallet so as to minimize the risk of hacking my account and put way all my money in one time so easily, but luckily I will like to add that still my all wallets are safe and sound and hope I will never taste such a bad experience.

I use several wallets, my main stash is in cold storage, to avoid the chances of it being stolen by a hacker, but the other wallets are desktop wallets that are in my computer, I think that is safer than to have web wallets and risk the site being hacked.
