hi. sorry my bad english

Last dev post: 1.5 month ago
Source code: 79 issues not closed
Pools list: not updated
Windows wallet: still need manual network configuration
verge-blockchain.info: network hash and diff has no info. zeroes
Cryptopia wallet: 1 week maintence

Verge project looks close to abandoned.
imho

I'm currently installing the v4.0.1.0-794660a-funky-beta wallet (core wallet !!) as all the desktops were AWE FULL !!!

It is recommended to keep it running ALL THE TIME so it's constantly synced ffs...This needs more support.

NEVER seen such little support for a coin !

TBH i am to afraid to even transfer my coins from an exchange to it !!!

Shocking..

There was a recent hardfork. Maintaining all of those wallets is hard work. Just run the latest release, it's fine.

You must be new to running a full node - of course you run it all the time. Or you can stop and start it as needed, but the sync will take a bit of time.

No, it's just been years since i have had to, think last time was when i claimed BCH, and had to download the whole BTC chain !!! Was over 170Gb !!...lol

Excuse me! You just said 170Gigabyte or you mean something else? That is a whole lot of data and time in downloading that. Hmmm.

Yes it was, if you read it i was referring to the BTC blockchain, using a BCH Recovery Core wallet to transport your private keys from a BTC wallet.

I gave up after 5 day's...lol...Got my self a Ledger and used their inbuilt tool, that took 10 mins.

When i downloaded the Verge Blockchain (then added to appdata/roaming/VERGE) wallet it onlt took 15 mins/1.7Gb.

So i just downloaded the windows verge electrum wallet
Why are there different wallet options, as I see Vereg or Verge-Electrum?

What is the difference, what are they used for?
Do any of the windows wallets stake or self mint in the wallet after coins mature?

Any help is appreciated...

Thanks,

No difference really (not sure if the Electrum Wallet is a a core wallet), i just found it VERY unstable, hunting around for networks/blockchain etc.

The latest Verge Wallet in the link 4.0.1 is MUCH better imo...Just install it and download the blockchain as well seperate as well, was 1.7Gb..

$100? No don't think so to be honest. I think the max price of a coin depends on the total supply and the popularity of the coin

100? lol.

i support this coin.  but 100...thats a bit hard in 5yrs.

lets see...   $.25 this year? yes.

$1 this year? hm... maybe.

but after that, i think it'll be slow.

just guessing.

Tho, i think they need to remove all of the wallets, put up only the ones that are ready/active

too many choices, its just coinfusing everyone.

    (see that? lol)

use the KISS principle.

It is 'all over the place' atm, to many wallet's, loads of confusion, different networks, updates, Onion/TOR, so confusing. it need's to focus on being easier to use/access for the people, plus remain anonomymous

tor/ip2 makes sense.  both are anonomous setups. just different.

but several of the wallets werent working. (i dont know now, i havent looked)

just hearing about it, makes me wonder if its been addressed yet.

Lotta work involved yes.  maybe just  get one person in charge of whats on the website...

if its not ready, disable the link, so it cant be dl'ed....

imo ofc.

I knew that a stretch. However, I do think $15 could be possible. I think dev needs to get together and make their priorities. I do agree with the wallet. I thought this could be a great project. Supply is not that big its only 16.5 billion total. I think it just depends on acceptance and dev should be working hard for promoting it.
