I would buy one, but $18 shipping to Japan is just too much to accept. Is there no Surface or 3rd class shipping option?
From Japan to Australia the cheapest shipping option would be tracked surface air land up to 500g is only $6 I assume it weighs less and would be cheaper.

I had some problems connecting to a apple airport recently, I did manage to get it connected to the guest Network. Though for some reason the guest wifi was blocking access to the net.

If you can try disable 5ghz so it's just 2.4 and try setting the wifi channel to 6.

Try also connect to guest wifi if your router has the option.

Found some good info for apple airport users.

The only other things that will stop it working is if you have disabled dhcp or have mac address filtering on.

I have been since the start of the year, no problems.

I would be very surprised if they don't last more then 3 years, though a cheap $1 fake apple charger may kill it faster. (not clean voltage)

Out of the 50+ that I have shipped I have only had one come back and I was able to fix it.  (think static corrupted the EEPROM (keep your cat away from it!))
