clear your browser's cookies first.

Yeah, sorry but this distribution model is not fair at all. I cleared cookies and still get the same error. And some people are obviously syphoning because there are now 8M distributed and I can't even get another 100.

What's not fair is the distribution? There are no problems with synchronization and the site works fine.Guys, don't forget to vote on https://c-cex.com/?id=vote

LOL. This is what it feels like:

Don't get me wrong I like RAI. But I want more of it. Seeing as somehow 1M got distributed virtually overnight Smiley

Why not announce a clear method of distribution and stick to it? Like am I supposed to do it no more than once per hour? Per day? Per week?

Massive centralized server holding all the RAI and validating all the transactions... What could go wrong. Sorry, but... I want to give the devs more credit but something feels off here.

It didn't jump by 1 million over night i haven't slept for 24 hours and have been periodically getting coins and buying them off several other people doing the same

There is a clear method of distribution and 99% of people don't have a problem easily using it. There is a problem for different reasons for a small % like most beta software

He has been actively developing the coin for 2 years straight.

He has been distributing coins since October of last year completely honestly and perfectly like clockwork. Focusing on working not trying to sell coins and over claim coins for himself, he could of easily gotten millions during October last year to February this year, when the faucet was giving much higher rewards and up until 1-2 weeks ago could be done at a rate of about 12 every minute , 12k a minute at its 1000/mrai per claim

He slowed the faucet down dramatically in the last week or so because it looked like someone had scripted a program to just claim automatically endlessly giving an unfair distribution

This is the most popular rai blocks has ever been, this is the moment the most people are currently claiming from the faucet than have ever been.

Whats makes you feel off?

We can reevaluate the distribution method though I think I should lay out the different classes of people I've heard from.

1) Like the faucet because they don't have fast computers to mine or participate in BOINC.
2) Would want BOINC distribution because they don't want to click the faucet or pay
3) Want to pay for them because they don't want to set up a computing rig for BOINC or click the faucet

These are all mutually exclusive to an extent so no matter what we do, someone's going to be unhappy, maybe a bit of each.

This might just create another whole host of problems .

How many are distrributed between the different methods, someone mining BOINC didn't wanna use the faucet but now they have figured out that they dont get paid as much as simply clicking on a faucet, complaining of distributions to each group that has been created and how much each is getting in relation to effort or time placed

From our count, yesterday we distributed about 150,000, not 1M. We'll be implementing a page soon which will display line-items by day of the distributed amount and percentage so this will always be readily available to see.

There IS a 1-minute limiter in place for obtaining free Rai.

If you are using Incognito (or if you just visited for the 1st time, or cleared your cookies) you must wait 1 minute after visiting the website to request free Rai. After that, it will allow you to request free Rai every minute. We'll also be implementing a timer that displays how long in seconds (right now, it's always less than 60 seconds) that you must wait to try again.

I can give a little insight on how the transaction clearing works now and how I hope it goes in the future.

Even though the faucet has a large balance, it has a representative account so it doesn't actually perform voting itself. This way we don't have two critical systems tied together.

Right now the wallet client is configured to pick from 8 preconfigured representatives in the config.json file. I have these representatives on different nodes around the world with different hosting providers to avoid a central point of failure during the ramp up.

In the future I envision people will set up their own representatives and move their vote off of the preconfigured ones, the faster this happens the more healthy and distributed the system will be.

There is a 32 bit version here, I'll try to get that linked on the page.
https://github.com/clemahieu/raiblocks/releases/tag/V7.4.2

Let me know success or failure of running it, I tested it in a 32 bit vm and it worked though some have reported it doesn't.

Hello,
It seems long time you are working @ the project
http://bitcoinist.net/exclusive-interview-raiblocks-team/

I would suggest you to find other ways for the distribution in addiction to the Re-Captcha faucet.
Such as for example:
- Boink campaign.
- Signature Contest.
- Fair Airdrop.
Regards

Ill put together a patch release to address this issue, it's appearing as more nodes appear in the network. Eventually it should sync but it takes much longer than it should.

I'll put it out either today or tomorrow.

So, this should be stated clearly. Here is what happened to me - I wasn't doing too many requests, but I think I did less than 1-minute wait between requests. And once I got into that state, even after clearing cookies, etc. I waited hours, days, same thing - getting the error.

So perhaps there is a bug, where once you try requests less than a minute apart, you go into a weird state. I think because I did 5 consecutive requests, I got tagged probably as someone trying to game the system? But then again I tried a different IP address and got same result.

Or is it 1-minute limiter for everyone, not per person? And I was just unlucky? Sorry for the rant, I just felt like I should be able to do this each day for a few clicks.

And thank you for explaining in more detail. In general it would be good to clearly explain those restrictions on the site.
