I honestly did not expect ripple to maintain its price around the current price. It was surprising. I considered it as a temporarly pumped one, yet it's still going okay. Lucky you guys. But I don't trust the team even they will hire lots of workers for future development.

Is there any specific reason behind for not trusting them. There are many people who keep on trusting for XRP team because they see a lot of potential in it. Don't keep on jumping from another stick to some you will see big results.

For the most part, some of us don't believe XRP because they don't know anything about it and there are just a lot of tokens which are promoted more and come popular than Ripple which is why its ignored even when tis technology are better. Now that banks has put more attention to it, soon users will soon invest on xrp.

Who's saying that? I don't have time to listen to 30 minutes yabbering from no-one-knows-who.

Banks are using or at least experimenting with Ripple, that's a fact. If it wasn't the case they would edit the article in Wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ripple_(payment_protocol)

I have listened the podcast, guy actually talks how many and what banks are using it. I think that post was sarcastic as many are.

Oh, I get it now, thank you. Being non native speaker I can't understand sarcasm sometimes.

So the post wasn't against Ripple then, haha. Oh, now I see you could tell it from the name of the file with "how-ripple-makes-bank-to-bank-transfers-compliance-faster-cheaper" in it. Smiley

Anyway XRP is $0.3+ again and those who were saying it's time sell when it was $0.25 were wrong apparently.

at first impression that's also what i thought but after seeing the stable price right now i think its better to hold some good numbers of coins and wait for another big hype, as many people here still showing interest and some new good news are still in progress.

Money20/20 Europe
Copenhagen
June 26-28, 2017

Money20/20 Europe is engineered to bring together all stakeholders with a part to play in the commerce revolution: payments and financial services providers, banks and non-banks, the mobile ecosystem, the retail industry (offline and online), marketing services and data companies, investors, advisory firms and government bodies.
In its first year, Money20/20 Europe welcomed 3,725 attendees, including 500 CEOs, from 1,500 companies and 70 countries. The senior audience spans visionaries and luminaries: the people who built the ecosystem, and the people who are disrupting, challenging and changing it.

All those conferences are wayyyyyy too hyped, there is like atleast 5 coins being a so called "star sponsor" so its just paying a little money, putting somebody there and then what? price will be pumped & dumped untill we will see something real

http://www.livebitcoinnews.com/polish-fx-broker-x-trade-brokers-will-add-xrpusd-trading-soon/

Over the past few months, we have seen multiple platforms and exchanges enable XRP trading. Although the cryptocurrency community has no love lost for Ripple’s asset, it is quite a powerful tool, to say the least. Now that X-Trade Brokers will add XRP trading against the US Dollar as well, things will get quite interesting.

http://www.livebitcoinnews.com/cryptocurrency-market-maker-rialto-will-use-ripple-technology-xrp-asset/
It looks as if another major market maker is embracing the Ripple protocol. Rialto.AI is a cryptocurrency arbitrage platform and a market maker. Although this project has yet to launch, they have also mentioned their plan to use Ripple moving forward. Additionally, this new platform will integrate XRP for cross-market trading as well. It is an interesting turn of events, to say the least.

The only downside is that Ripple isn't resistant to quantum attacks and the threat of this kind of attack in the future is very real.

I would love Ripple to go into partnership with Quantum Resistant Ledger as I am sure that would make even more major players adopt their platformif they could future proof the security of their platform.

really...wow..never heard of tenx....and tbh i dont care who or what they are offering...nobody should get priority unless they are paying higher fees....are they?
even then...the eth chain should not stop for others
lol...maybe i should goto eth thread and find out more lol

i just read this...https://ethereum.stackexchange.com/questions/17628/high-transaction-fee-when-participating-a-token-sale

feels strange...while ive been zooming around like the Flash with my XRP , jumping around has never been so easy, fast or cheap...XRP feels futuristic..while
my eth is struggling to perform the simplest thing crypto is supposed to do....wierd

gonna have to buy more XRP asap lol  Wink

The only downside is that Ripple isn't resistant to quantum attacks and the threat of this kind of attack in the future is very real.

I would love Ripple to go into partnership with Quantum Resistant Ledger as I am sure that would make even more major players adopt their platformif they could future proof the security of their platform.
It's very simple to add a new signature scheme to Ripple. We did it to add Ed25519 support. You don't have to change your Ripple address and accounts that use different signature schemes can interoperate seamlessly.

If we added a quantum-resistant crypto scheme now, we'd be stuck with it forever. And all of the currently-known such schemes have massive downsides such as very large public keys.

It just makes a lot more sense for us to wait until there's some reason to think it's needed. We could easily deploy a new signature scheme in 3 months (or faster if the need was urgent). We think it makes more sense to choose a scheme as late as safely possible to give us the most information and best choices of what scheme to adopt.

But we watch closely.

If anyone knows of a quantum-resistant signature scheme that permits multiple signatures and has performance and key sizes not much worse than Ed25519 or SECp256K1, that could change things.
