Once people collect their btc dividents, they might invest into xrp again
And they may not invest in a ripple. These are all conjectures. There are a lot of possible variants of the development of events and how only the whales will take care of matters.

Well I did hear that there has been a lot of speculation about upcoming news for Ripple.  At the moment though its struggling against a strong bull move in Bitcoin.  I have no doubt that Ripple will see all time highs again but I think I'm out of Ripple for the moment. I think I'll buy back in later if I haven't missed the boat!

Well in theory it should go up because of the conference here in the coming weeks but bitcoin has been on a tear lately. We will see soon enough who wins out on that battle

You can reduce your losses by filling your bag at a low price.
For example:

Bought 100 coins at 1000
Price went down to 400
Bought another 1000 coins at 500

... and your break-even point is 750.
Wink

It's not an easy decision. First you have to go in with more money, second: who can be sure, that there is no other, deeper dip coming in?

But the mooning of XRP is a question of time for me. That the expectations for this coin are high can you see, how nervous the market reacts, when there are announcements of XRP on the way. Only one big news and XRP will take off to mars.

I understand mikebacker, I don't want to argue, when I said I'm a long time follower it's true and believe me back then we had a lot more hate (we even had to deal with a website called ripplescam).

I gave up on ripple when I heard that the banks dont need to buy ripple from exchanges. They have some deal in which they get it cheaply from some other source. Thats why the price will not go up. Its like there are two ripples, one for suckas who buy it high from exchange and then the big companies who get it cheap under the table.

Of course there might be other smaller companies that want to i.e integrate with banks and they need to buy ripple from exchanges. But I dont know, if the deal is real then ripple is ripping us of.

There is no need for a in-between token where there is liquidity.
I follow Ripple since 2013, I'm just trying to have an healthy debate but think what you want I won't argue anymore.

In this bloody sea of red this weekend, there are only a few serious coins which are unbreakable. Guess who is a member of this small elite...? Right: The coin, which pushed its support on a constant higher level. Very, very stable for at least to weeks. Means: 8B $ invested with the strongest believe in one of the biggest and most advanced projects in crypto-world. This mc is a stable wall of hope, knowledge and a visionary way of thinking. The rocket is refueled....

I think that Ripple doesn't go up in the future. Because Swift is researching their blockchain. The banks continues using Swift platform.

 Shocked Shocked

Technically Bitcoin is a fork and Bitcoin Cash is the original blockchain. When the hard fork occurred, people had access to the same amount of coins on Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.- NIST

im of the firm belief that 90% of BTC FUD and negative posts is account farmers. I learned from the deeponion scam accusation nearly 10 newbie accounts ranked up in that thread alone. A thread created on bullshit. Not surprised to see here these newbies posting shit just to farm farm farm. I mean, once you see a haters post, they instantly have support, so post post post to farm on baby. Idiots.

long live xrp, all shit/fud posters will eat their words soon regarding posting shit about ripple.

I'm a newbie to the forum... but have followed it for quite some time... I own less XRP than I'd like to but am in for the long haul... A piece of advice to all new comers, DO YOUR HOMEWORK! That means read up on actual news and don't succumb to the large amount of BS touted on any thread. There is a wealth of information on the website, news releases and in the previous pages that will serve to answer all of your questions if you are willing to spend the time and mental energy. There are genuine folks on this thread who have made it easy, with their efforts, to educate yourself on what is really happening here. Thank you HODOR and MEMBERRIES for all of the time and effort you've put out here. HODL.

Great news on Ripple today! Hoping to see some gains from that lawsuit that was dropped.

I don't understand why people are saying "XRP can't go up because BTC is doing too well"

Do you not understand that XRP and BTC have almost nothing to do with one another?

Most altcoins' performance are in some way tied to the performance of BTC, but XRP does not fall into this category. It is a totally separate and independent blockchain. BTC's price rising or falling is completely irrelevant when looking at XRP.
