So tired of Ripple, everytime big price jump and right after big correction. wtf is this. Banks controlling the coin already?
Guys, get it right. Ripple was NEVER a true public blockchain. It's always been a public-private one, aimed at financial institutions, allowing them to leverage blockchain technology. Saying that Ripple doing business with banks is bad, is like saying Apple shouldn't sell mobile phones. It's the core of their business model. Holding Ripple is like holding shares in the company. If you hold XRP, you should be glad to see this development. Nobody said anything about dealing with banks is bad, were just concerned that such great news gave us nothing but a tiny pump and dump.

I stand corrected. But...With the scale of Amex, and England being the banking gateway to Europe and Asia this should generate long term sustainability rather than a short term pump and dump. Also, with the might of Amex behind Ripple, other doors will open. Where Amex goes, others will follow. Let's hope that holds true

Frankly, I expected more volume, going from BCH to XRP probably, but it seems BCH/BTC war didn't settle yet, BCH still has more than double XRP volume for the last 24h...we'll see what happens tomorrow I guess

Unconfirmed sources hinting towards possible RippleNet integration into VISA announced blkchainproject.
Confirmed sources know for sure that the clearing house and others implemented domestic instant payments trough volantetechnologies into 25 banks in the US. Same sources confirmed that volantetechnologies is a ripple partner!

I have to wonder if this will kick up again in a few hours when Korea and the like wake up.
Also, with XRP being burned with every transaction (granted it is a tiny amount, but still) and the overall marketcap of crypto increasing - I could see a dollar or two being a real possibility in the future - up to say 10-20 dollars in a few years if more banks jump on.

Price is driven by news at the moment. Santander and American Express have become the latest high-profile clients to use Ripple for cross-border payments. In an announcement today, the institutions announced a partnership with the Blockchain payment network to initially send instant payments between US and UK business users of Amex’s FXIP platform. UK Santander bank accounts will be able to receive the Ripple-based payments.

If it pumped to 30 cents several times over Swell....American Express and the fact it will use XRP down the road as well should take us well past 30 cents. And when they see how much faster XRP is once they're signed up to Ripple they will never use anything else again on the Ripple Network other than XRP. They just need to make sure they can build up the trust with Ripple first using their network and once that's all down pat they can switch to XRP as easy as turning on a light switch

The funds needed for those pumps were pretty impressive. i saw an Elliot wave analysis of Ripple projecting a price of $1.02 towards the middle of next year. Ripple just been on a massive slow-motion correction since the massive move up. Looks like there might be some life in the old girl yet!
