And what problem exactly did Ripple solve?

When I want to transfer like $10 and I don't want to pay $12 to our dear exchanges or other services and wait 10-20 mins, I use XRP to do the same thing for $0.10 and in 1 second.

Also I don't have to worry about what will happen after the mining rewards get halved one or two more times and people with farms of expensive ASICs and their manufacturers stand to gain more by attacking the network instead of defending them for close to nothing rewards.

I guess nobody thinks about such things huh? Let us all follow the masses without questioning where we're going!

XRP does have super fast and super cheap transactions, surely nobody can deny that.

Imagine what the transaction fees will be for sending $100 when Bitcoin reaches $20,000 again

Many whales are Bitcoin maximalists, which makes them hate altcoins... ALL altcoins. For me there is Bitcoin, Altcoin and Shitcoins. For some people (unfortunately many) there is Bitcoin and then there's Shitcoins!

Especially when it comes to XRP, few have given it any research themselves. Instead they hear misinformation like "it's a bankers' coin" and "Ripple controls 90% and they'll dump their bags on you" and they instantly believe all that.

I'm just patiently waiting for true investors to rise XRP. The whales can keep playing with Bitcoin, raising its dominance to 80%+ and do the governments a favor by making cryptocurrencies' suppression a walk in the park.
Having a few strong coins which move independently from BTC would help us win the war.

I am with you, I am waiting for XRP to rise and I am patient.

The game some altcoin holders play by saying XRP is not real crypto makes no sense, that is not an argument or debate to have. Many people believe their own minds when deciding what is crypto and what is not.

Bitcoin has its own value and uses and XRP (and Ethereum) has its own. The top 3 crypto by market capital have their own uses, they are different and have their own potential. I hope XRP dominates in fintech especially after the Moneygram deal went through.
No doubt! XRP and other top crypto's will go higher but it's a matter of time, in the next rise XRP could go above $0.5
Right now XRP holding support level $0.38 & we will see mini bull run again in this month like last one.
Bitcoin dominance again rising %60 to %62.6 after last pump.

Time to buy or sell ripple?
I Will happy to know whay u think...
Max

I put my sell order at $8

I see you want to play it safe! Grin
I have mine at $9.50 (that's for about 50% of my portfolio though).

I am a simple guy, I do not have much XRP but I was very happy to buy mine at the price I got (and still in a slight loss now). I set 50% of my XRP at $1 so that I will get back all my investment. I set another 25% at $3 and the rest I will hold until $5,,, and then I wil decide what to do with it:)

It will be a long time to get that third cost of course but I think $1.50 is easy this year.

And what problem exactly did Ripple solve?

I'm sure people know what problem will their favorite coin will solve, XRP is not my favorite but based on personal experience I like XRP compared to BTC when sending since it's very fast and cheap, and I believe that's one of the problem of BTC now.
Is it 2000 times cheaper, because BitCoin is 1950 times cheaper than BTC and instand.
transaction fee $1.4129 per byte for BTC
transaction fee $0.0007 per byte for BitCoin
Does it have development for totally free mircopayments?

"The existing Visa credit card network processes about 15 million Internet purchases per day worldwide. Bitcoin can already scale much larger than that with existing hardware for a fraction of the cost. It never really hits a scale ceiling."  Satoshi Nakamoto, April 2009          Avoiding taxes is totally legal if you consider and respect the law.

Who in his right mind pays $0.10 in transaction fees in this day and age when it cost $0.001 with BitCoin

Last week XRP/BTC has marked a new all-time low since over one year and is still continuing downwards.
Never since over one year 1 XRP have had less value compared to BTC today.

Not surprising just "good news" and no action, but transaction fee, blah,blah....
ZCash and lots of other coins/tokens have lower fees as xrp and no fee for micropayments is coming to BitCoin.
The sheer amount of projects at BitCoin https://www.agora.icu/ and internet search engine https://oyo.cash/

No, why would anyone with any brain be worried that a whole lot of Stablecoins being worked on which share most attributes like inflation.
Only difference stablecoins have usage other than speculation and a fixed price.

Sum of daily percent changes.

For some unexplained reason the pink unicorn will appear anytime soon and a bigger fool is found to dump the heavy bags.

I will never forget this time, and it's already locked in my memory, I wish I have invested heavily in XRP that time than in ETH, but I should not be greedy, I made a decent profit that time and thanks to the wonder bull run which is my first experience.

Seems like things are harder this time and it seems like if there is a bull run, we might not see that big increases to happen.

As I recall, back then there was FUD about Ripple holding most of XRP.
When Ripple locked most of the XRP behind a smart-contract the price sky-rocketed!

But the constantly increasing amount of collaborations with Ripple Labs that is happening nowadays should have pushed the price much higher, I don't understand how people can be so passive.

Officially about 60% of XRP Ripple has not sold the real number of unsold XRP is over 80%

The battle of the fool seeking a bigger fool to sell (dump on) his XRP continues.
