Gambling is a sickness I have to agree, it is a very bad hobby and addiction and not suggesting to anyone to be related to it in anyway as it's very bad in general.

I disagree with your statement mate..gambling is not a sickness, coz if it is, then a man in his proper state of mind won't dare to try it...In real life, look at the  cock fighting, or derby, it started  during the Spanish era, but as to this days, some of those gamblers has a good life..

Gambling is risky game of money from which most people lose and just a few wins. Gambling too is addictive and fun especially when you're winning and that's why most people can't get away from gambling once they get in it.
In gambling you only win from the start then you lose whenever you win a certain amount.

of course gambling is very risky, and it's already considered as illness, gamblers sometimes even needs psychological help from doctors, because they can't stop doing that alone, addicted to gambling is pretty same as addicted to drugs or anything else

I do no think you consider gambling as a sickness because of the fact some people get addicted but also some people not, so I think its not a sickness.
Also some people win a lot of money and stop with gambling that are the real professionals but these guys are also not addicted right ?
Its all a matter of controlling yourself.

I think that's too much man. gambling is only a game that requires courage and risk-taking. if you do not accept your loss. do not blame it on gambling Cheesy

Gambling can be considered as a sickness but I think it also really is because a lot of people get in problems because of it, like they are drug addicts.
I even think its really going to far these days with the addictions of gambling, its just a game people...

It is not that worst as a sickness. People just have to know that gambling is very bad to do.
And the money that they lost is all wasted money and that is really bad. They have to save it and not to spend it for fun.

Yes you can look at it. Because people have to control themselves and that is the most important thing in gambling.
If you cant control yourself. Than you will lose a lot of money and you will become poor.

Gambling is a sickness IMO and is a form of addiction as accepted and said in most of the world, The most annoying thing is the inability to leave it even after accepting this, People should avoid it from the beginning IMO.

Gambling can be a big psychological problem and is very much a sickness for a large percentage of people playing it, I think bitcoin allows the person to play even more than regular casino's.

Actually gambling is an addiction which allows users to win and to loose their money.
I don't think that gambling is for me, I never have luck so why should I keep trying to win if I only loose my coins.
It is a virus inside u, that speaks to u, if u stand strong and don't gamble u will defeat this nasty virus and you are starting to be happier, seeing live in a better way. That is what happens if people stop gambling, if they continue they will get bankrupted and sad and keep trying to recover their loses and eventually loose more coins.

Gambling is a sickness for sure, person's addicted to it can't avoid it and therefore is a type of sickness... also it's mostly a bad hobby and result of losing invested money in it.

Oh please! This is a ridiculous thread, sure some people get carried away with addiction etc but that can be said about most vices, drinking, drugs, smoking, sex, most of us just like to gamble as a hobby.

I don't see gambling as a sickness, it's a hobby.

Gambling shouldnt be consider as a sickness, the same way when you go shopping and see 9,99 instead 10,00,and 39,99 instead 40,your mind just see what it wanna to see, there are studies about how marketing manipulate people, and gamblins is the same. The make a good webpage and put on top win the big prize of 30btc ,your mind usually thinks lets give a try i can win it and spend with family,if win you must take it out fast ,because people usually reinvest all dreaming to achieve better values. The same way you watch tv,you pay for it,being the energy or paid tv,the thing is you need it its a luxurity thing that you with your work can afford to have.

I have to agree with the fact that gambling is a sickness in a way and should be avoided for those not involved with it, People hardly get away from it once they get attached to it and it's a form of addiction I think in the majority of the cases.

No, I think its not a sickness...some gamblers just look sick because when they fail to win, but it doesn't mean that there is something wrong with them...They just need to breath fresh air outside, and they will forget their loses and try again, I don't think majority of those who tried gambling got addicted to it...  Smiley

Yeah gambling is like a addictive games which is use to play from longtime like, PS-2 Smackdown, GTA, Temple run, Farm ville and more. These games addictive worldwide I guess.
As like that gambling is also same. Once you get into that you cannot come out easily from that gambling games.

Well but playing those or others games would be considered as a sickness? No ,you play for the pleasure and wanna be the best or reach another ranks ,levels, with gambling is almost the same thing ,the diference is that you must pay to play to start having fun.Gambling has its advantages against others things, you can get a prize ,the thing is you cant control your mind soo you will invest it dreaming to get a bigger prize.
