Yes gambling should be considered as a sickness, some people never can stop with it anymore and I think its very wrong to gamble also.
I also do it sometimes but I totally can help it to be honest, I think its a sickness for sure, because I really have some weird feeling if I gamble.
If you think gambling is a sickness, even you state that it is wrong, then what's reason you do that sometimes?  You get addicted to it and you can't control it. If you are an addict already, you have the urge to always gamble no matter what the consequence is. You get bankrupt, you're neck deep in debts or you neglect prople around you, it does not matter as long as you can gamble. That is ehy it is a sickness. That's true you if you are addicted you will find ways to gamble and may even sell your precious things if you don't have enough money to gamble. Because you always want the excitement you get from gambling then you will never notice that you already become bankrupt. If that will happen to you then I would say you have a gambling sickness. You cannot easily cure the gambling sickness because there is no medicine for that. If have feel you are addicted don't take it long before you see help from you family. They are the one who can give you a good advise. |

Gambling is not a sickness and should not be classed as such. I gamble and I am far from sick lol. It becomes a problem and illness when you're addicted and spend what you cannot afford to lose. Saying you win in the begining and then lose is also wrong, there is no rule to say you will win at the start. I can totally relate to it. There was a time when I had become addicted to it. I have lost my fortune, took loan, gamble again, lost again and moved back to signature campaigns. For an experience it wasn't that bad but one should know limits to gamble because beyond a limit you can't earn in gambling. If you lost everything I would say it is time to get a decent career to focus on and actually get enough money to pay for rent and bills because there is no way signature earnings can do that. |

You can cure your addiction to gambling by having another addiction which is profitable/useful for you.
You can cure any addiction with this idea.
You are addicted to gambling? Fuck it, get addicted to reading finance books.
You are addicted to masturbate? Hit a gym, get addicted to do more on the bench press. (which will also get girls in time. very good investment)

Gambling is already a part of life. Everytime you make actions you are gambling what would be the outcome. Gambling is risk. Wha is no normal is the form of gambling that you choose to make inyour money. Gambling addiction is what can be considered as an illness.

Indeed, but this should not be considered sickness because it is just an act, it was created and accepted in the community because it has also benefits to the people who love to gamble for fun. Gambling it self should not be considered a sickness in my opinion. The people who are addicted to gambling are sick them selves. No one if forcing these people to gamble like their life is on the line they have the power to stop them selves.

Yes, that is something that gamblers should be aware of. If they don't have something to get to their pockets there is a possibility to steal other people's money just to sustain their addiction to gambling just like being addicted to drugs and other illegal things. |

I disagree with you man. Gambling is not a blessing. Don't consider it as a gift from God. Being addicted to gambling should be considered as a gambling syndrome. Gambling is basically not a blessing nor a sickness, whatever it becomes for someone it is their own decision to make it so. If someone keeps gambling then it surely becomes a sickness for him because he will be addicted to it then and won't be able to leave it. And if someone doesn't gamble at all then it is nothing to him. |
