I'm keeping the WAVES sig btw, not interested in getting free RISE and not investing into that project. WAVES (just as ETH did) will offer something unique and needed in a decentralized fashion (unlike Ripple).

RISE is just riding the DAPPS hype with a LISK clone and Alty as a project manager. I would advise caution.

But Waves also just a CLONE.... I mean if you are talking about unique then Waves doesn't apply here. This is not code that was written from 0%. RISE can maybe be a ride of from LISK, and there will some coins following for sure, but if every clone of LISK will give only half of the profit then what LISK is giving then i'll be in all of those clones Cheesy

I bet you either don't know what "clone" means, or are here just to be annoying.

The point is everything is a clone from something, and there is nothing wrong with it at all. Why do you want to invent the wheel again when it already exist? The coin is only as successful as the people that are managing the coin, all the rest is copy and paste.

OK - so you don't know what "clone" means, at least in the cryptocurrency context.

Do you think Bitcoin is a clone of C++? Cheesy

You clearly don't understand, RISE is trying to ride the hype of a project that just launched WEEKS AGO. How is that reinventing? Reinventing an alpha/beta project that has still tons of space to grow and can take on different directions? I don't see how this is useful.

This is how WAVES differs highly and why I named ETH aswell.

Also as people pointed out above, WAVES is not a clone of anything. It's written in the Scorex framework.

We all expected to get rich from DAO, after seeing what ETH and to some extent LISK did. DAO was, well a massive flop to say the least. Don't expect too much from WAVES as you might be very disappointed. I expect it will dip below ICO price and struggle to make any real gains for a while.
again no one considers the marketcap vs the total supply of a coin. If you take DAO's total supply into consideration  and then look at its marketcap it has indeed done fairly well and is priced exactly as it should be. Waves wont flop nor will it drop below ICO price especially considering bitcoin halving coming up. The BTC collected by waves team will automatically be worth more thus making the marketcap higher and the price higher... simple

I found something interesting in the article. When explaining the yobit waves reset process it says:

Quote
It also refunded the initial buyers to whom it had sold its IOUs as principal.

Did anybody know that yobit had refunded the people who bought waves before its reset process? I remember in their trollbox they recommended people to sell their waves to buy orders before the reset happened, but didn't know they refunded people. If that's right it's a good thing. Smiley
