Agreed they do more damage. I am only speaking about buy walls with ICO money. Investors / speculators can set up whatever walls they want.
Well, at least this proves that the devs trust WAVES. If they don't indent to do some more work for it, it would be wasted money and they could just spend the BTC they have.

companies buy back stock all the time but I think they generally do that with operating income, not ico funding. buys walls coming from the funds invested in the waves platform is a bad idea. most likely at this stage any buying back of tokens is a mistake. that money should be used for development....if this is as long a term project as intended the short term token price is somewhat meaning less. screw the buy walls. let the price settle where it wants

They will keep it there until everyone buys above that price. Then "poof" it will disappear to make the price crash and people panic sell. Just watch.

Companies take also credits for buybacks. If the expected return is high for the buy back it is OK. Look at IBM, low PER high credit ratio due to buy back and high operating margin. So if you buy back at a price lower than the fair value it is OK. The issue is nobody knows the fair value for one wave.

More cheap Waves please ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) It maybe this sell of will have at least one good thing?I guess this way a bit of new people coming on Waves what means wider distribution . What is positive from trading/investing perspective as it is beneficial for network strength.

The issue is nobody knows the fair value for one wave. look at ibm, when they did their ipo, did they then immediately go out and do a stock buy back. I think not. it would have ruined investor trust and would have been probably be seen a ploy to manipulate price. again if generating revenue stock buy back is fine...but certainly not at this stage for what is considered a start up

For all we know Dolores has the 100BTC wall at 2150 and will remove it once he/she decides to start crying again. It's easy to get played in crypto. Also for those who are worried about what Sasha is doing - don't worry he is eating and will be for some time.

That's cool thinking.I also have suspicion that this buy wall is not Sasha's.

No to Buy walls for me as well. Great features will produce buy-walls driven by community and that's much better than spending the ICO funds in buy walls at this point.

Sasha just told yesterday in hangout that they are not spending ICO funds in buy walls.
