Basically a transaction has failed (wave crest cards may be flagged by some merchants?!) and it seems that the money is not visible in the wirex app (money didn't return to buyer).
Hi! Thank you for your question, I will try to explain step by step what happens in this case. If card transaction has failed or merchant provided a refund it should appear on your balance in 15 days since the transaction was performed or refund was provided by the merchant. If money is not back in 15 days you need to collect confirmation from the merchant and let us know - we will investigate and initiate a chargeback process if needed. But please note that after 14-15 days when we receive the funds back (or will not receive any confirmation from the merchant that this transaction was successful) this transaction will disappear from the list of card transactions in your account and your balance will be changed accordingly and become correct. Our clients should just calculate their balance to ensure all is fine. Also, we can anytime provide the full bank statement in few working days where all transactions, even failed or refunded, will be available to see. Just wanted to voice my issues again here, as it's getting frustrating. Long story short: I started having problems with transactions wrongly showing, or not showing at all, both on the app and the website. After many days trying to explain the issue to the support, she said "that's a bug of ours but we will not fix it". Now it doesn't update at all, it's frozen at some days ago, with many missing transactions (before and after the freeze moment), etc. This level of service and support is unacceptable, especially by a company who wants to manage your money.

I'm looking for a bitcoin debit card and this seemed to be the one I was going to go for but I've read quite a few bad reviews recently. Does anyone know if I can transfer bitcoin to the virtual debit card then withdraw that money straight to my own personal bank account or is it just for online purchases?

Hi Pallas, First of all, in your case, we can provide you the full bank statement for your card to ensure all is correct with your past transactions. Hi Hilariousetc, Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer funds from the Wirex card to your personal bank account. If you have only the virtual card you can spend funds for online purchases. If you have the plastic card you can spend funds for online purchases, POS purchases (offline) or withdraw cash in ATM. Hope this answer will be helpful for you. Hi Hilariousetc, Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer funds from the Wirex card to your personal bank account. If you have only the virtual card you can spend funds for online purchases. If you have the plastic card you can spend funds for online purchases, POS purchases (offline) or withdraw cash in ATM. Hope this answer will be helpful for you. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with. That's pretty disappointing. Is there no way to implement it so it allows direct bank transfers? I need to cash out £1400-£1800 a month but the physical card only allows £800 a day I and don't really want to pay the money in cash every month if I can help it.

"Sometimes transactions are not displayed on time due to technical bug." I'd say 3 weeks is a bit too much....

e-coin /Wirex WAS a good service.
Now with the EU cards limitation, it's more or less useless.
For unknown raison Wirex refuse to close my account ...
even if i don't use it any more.
I don't know what they want to do with our personal infos, and why they refuse closing my account ... support bring always another excuse for keeping my account open.

You need to take into account that if you've already performed financial transactions, they are legally required to keep records for several years. If you have not yet made any financial transactions though, they should have no problem removing your account.

The 1$ is the monthly fee. I don't know yet the rule for choosing the day they get that money from the card, but I'm 99% it's the monthly fee. The failed conversions are another story and their tech support should tell us about that / why that happens. About the tech support I can tell that some of my issues were resolved nicely, some others were ... like talking with somebody from the wrong movie.

So I got a monthly charge on a card that doesn't work after only a week. Seems legit... NOT

between all these negative comments I feel like I should voice my positivity. I have used wirex for a couple of months now. Got verified very easily and have not had any issues yet, they always reply to my tickets in 1-2 days. I load 1000$+ regularly and never had any issues, never had my card decline anywhere and also was able to withdraw money easily in my country and abroad. Instant loading of my card and no issues at all.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Cards do not work once you load money into them. You will not be able to re-exchange your USD on the broken card back into Bitcoin. Customer service is extremely slow and incompetent, usually with fake answers to try and confuse you or justify their theft. YOUR BALANCE WILL CHANGE WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT All this with proof below.
Dear WaffleMaster, It is not true. For the future, I recommend to calm down and ask about your issues in the normal way. I'm here to provide help for all who will have questions after the answer from our support team. I will try to explain: 1) Your $1 wasn't charged by us or our bank and it is not a monthly fee. It was charged by Amazon and it is usual practice of many services to check if your card has funds on it or not. Currently, it is on hold and will be released after 14-15 days since the date of purchase/attempt to link your card to Amazon. 2) Our support team was correct to ask you to verify your card. We are under regulation of UK law and as many other same services we always ask to verify your account to avoid all issues with low limits. Also sometimes our card issuing bank may block your card if they find something suspicious and to unblock the card you will need to verify your account. That is why verified account is the key to the successful usage of our service without many problems. 3) As for your another concern with card unload. Card unload (buy bitcoins) is a blockchain transaction and blockchain fee will apply in this case. According to our minimum limits and blockchain fee, you haven't got enough on your card to make this unload. And our support team was correct to ask you to load more to avoid this issue. This time we are ready to make a one-time exception and manually unload your card even if it is lower than our limits. We can't provide your personal details on this forum, that is why we ask you to create a new ticket and send me in private message the ticket ID, I will find it and provide a manual refund to your wallet. If there will be problems with manual refund we will ask the bank to do it, any way you will receive funds to your wallet. If I missed something or you have any additional questions please let me know.
