0.3.4 hotfix build is ready. It adds new hardened checkpoint at block #13560. If you don't have problem, which is described below, you can ignore this. But anyway, it's recommended to apply this update, especially if you running mining pool or another service. It will prevent downtime possibility. If you see "Invalid checkpoint found" message and your client switches to safe mode, you need to install this update and re-download the blockchain. By the way, with win32 client you don't need sync og the whole blockchain, you can use files from the blockchain snapshot. Hello Everybody I'm looking into NVC because I find it intriguing and am fed up with the gov-s. Any recommendations on a pool selection and miner? I currently use cgminer with 4x7950-s and am getting 2.6Mhash/s. There are a lot of people out there who think NVC is a scam due to the circumstances when launched but I see it as a bold move. Either way, I've always been drawn to the east side Mad props, Balthazar!

Selected bnProofOfStakeLimit value seems to be too high for NVC network, it can't generate PoS blocks at this difficulty. My bad. Will fix it to lower value in the next update, which will be released soon. RAK3I recommed you to mine in p2pool.

The reason of situation is the fast difficulty grow up. I didn't expect that so many people will come into the network soon. I thought that we have some time to generate enough coins for this PoS difficulty. Ah, what do we have here..
We have failed scammer, who known as TradeFortress. Without exaggeration, I know more than you ever will be able to know. It obvious that you have no chances in the real discussion with me, because your conversation abilities are limited with simple trolling. So I don't want to waste my time. But you need to know that the person who is so careful that he never makes a mistake is unlikely to achieve anything of real value. If you don't know how to do something, have a go, don't be afraid of being wrong. If you are not prepared to make mistake, you will never come up with anything useful. Have a nice day

It's because there are only ~240k coins available for operations. Emission is very slow.

You're right, the binaries have disappeared. Seems to be something wrong with them...

Accidentally uploaded the damaged 0.3.5 files, removed it and now uploading right files. I'm sorry for that. P.S. It seems that in the future I also will provide sha256 checksums list for binaries.

1) Stop your bullshit; 2) Luke, the Force will be with you. Just use p2pool. Pool hash rate: 101.470Mh/s (3.23% DOA+orphan) on 54 peers

Simple p2pool guide for windows users: Hi,
Is there somewhere a detailed guide on how to use p2pool with nvc?
The readme file attached was not helpful to me at all using the precomplied .exe.
Thanks, balu
It's quite simple. 1) You need to run novacoin client in server mode, just like in case of solo mining. Create file novacoin.conf in C:\Users\Your user name\AppData\Roaming\NovaCoin with contents like this: rpcuser=user rpcpassword=password server=1 2) Start client and wait for syncronization proccess 3) Double-click on run_p2pool.exe, wait until shares chain download will be completed 3) Point your miners to http://any_user:any_password@127.0.0.1:8336/But remember that you need enough hashing power to get at least 0.01 coin in PPLNS reward, because NVC/PPC has no support for outpoints volume less than 0.01 coin. It's serious limitation, I'm agree. P.S. Binaries download page: https://sourceforge.net/projects/novacoin/files/

If you find any other problem, please contact me directly. Cheers, khaos stop your bullshit there is not even 1 pool that can stay online 5 minutes without fall
