I'm running p2pool on fedora linux, it starts OK but there're some errors in the log if the cgminer submits works.

You need to disable stratum (--no-stratum for bfgminer or --fix-protocol for cgminer), and this error will go away. I'll try to find the reason later. I think this happening because of difference between NVC/PPC and BTC transaction formats.

P.S. updated code in git, commented out X-Stratum header setup to disable Stratum support by default. Win32 build is also updated.

Updated to add support for compressed public keys. So, now it displays generation txns destinations correctly (demo here).

ABE database rebuild is required after applying this update.
