For me spending bitcoin is good to help the value of bitcoin would go higher day by day because it will help to increase the demand and supply of bitcoin but we do not need to spend it regularly because bitcoin is great investment also.

I don't think spending would have anything to do with the price or demand and supply, because even if we are not spending our bitcoins, the demand and supply is still continued and if there are less coins in circulation and more demand then that will help the price increase higher i guess.

I do not really like to spend Bitcoins. I just hold them in your purse. But this demand does not depend on Bitcoins. It grows from the fact that the popularity of Bitcoin is distributed among a large number of people every day

Holding bitcoin is a good option now, judging from the price increasing and the stability in the future bitcoin will be a valuable assets, i only spend when there is emergency need and i will sell my coin when the price reach 1000$

Keep in mind to not holding forever. you will missed opportunity and you will get nothing at the end if you just keep holding. though $1000 is possible if we're looking at the current price nowadays but you could make pretty decent profit by doing some margin trading. it's not really risky and as simple as buying and selling thing instantly

Yes, if we want we can make some additional money buying bitcoin when the price drops and then reselling when the price goes back to normal, that is a nice way to put some extra dollars in your pocket.

i think you spend or not it is not a problem and it can not affect your bitcoin.. for me this is a time to spend it from some site like purse.io that they are giving good rebate while you are buying .. if you can wait for a long time and dont spend your bitcoin it is a good idea but it takes a long time before you can make a good profit or huge price increase.. we do not know if the price of bitcoin will continue to increase.

Agree, we should spend Bitcoin in daily basis so more people more know with bitcoin payment. But we have same problem in several countries which not many places/merchants to spend your bitcoin directly except through online stores, I think it better if businessman and community create their own business that accepted bitcoin payment, so more places to spend it.

I agree with you, it's close to impossible to not spend even 1 satoshi, but on the other hand if you are spending less than 5% of what you have in total it is fair to call it "not spending" IMO. I, for example, if I need money I can sell some coins to have say $50, but since I'm doing this once in two or three months and I earn more in that period of time, I think I'm not spending.

Nothing but speculation galvanizes demand. Many hold on to a token because they believe in the advance in price and that they can sell it higher in the foreseeable future, thats why they buy and hold, and provide supply while hedging their positions if necessary. It all is whale plays. Real demand means buying pressure created by business or corporate adoption plays a non-substantial role in driving market forces.

Mass adoption is the key that can make us easier to use bitcoin. Spending bitcoin in regular basis is such as a challenge, becouse only a few offline place that adopt bitcoin as payment option. It will more comfortable to use if we can spending bitcoin in local merchant.

I don't think spending Bitcoins is necessary to make Bitcoin successful and make known to people, look at Gold for example it is not a kind of item in which is accepted as payment yet it is known by all people and it is valuable. Bitcoin's road right now is pretty good for something that virtually exist it might go over to 1000$ soon.

However we have to live with what bitcoin can offer to use in the current times, since the adoption is not that high we can't expect to spend our bitcoins easy. Let's hope that the adoption will continue to increase as what is happening right now, bitcoin will surely be more popular in the future.

I also pay bills with bitcoins but i am in a different country, what company in the Philippines do you use to pay bills with?

I know of one company there Coins.ph that was mentioned in this bitcoin.com news article: https://news.bitcoin.com/philippines-pay-loans-bills-bitcoin/ but it's the only one i know of.

I remember that I saw movie where was no bank system, there was BTC paid system and all people buy-sell by only one way - they insert their individual flesh-card at terminals. The directors of movie didn't open any details about this
