I just burned a lof of ESP1 by sending them to a ESP2 address!!!!
Tried importing the privkey from the ESP2 wallet to the ESP1 wallet but it says "invalid key".
The two addresses should REALLY have been incompatible! Or if they are, so should the private keys!!!
Sorry to hear that Pallas, thats why I am also anxious when trying to open both ESP wallets at the same time, worried to mix the two when trying to send some coins.

I don't use UPnP in my network, but the checkbox to disable it in the settings of the new ESP wallet is greyed out. Which port do I have to forward to make it work better? Or is there even a need to?
Edit: Default port seems to be 22447 22448 TCP. Do I have to prevent the wallet from trying UPnP, or is it enough to just forward the port? Edit2: Forwarding this port gave me a significant increase in connections.

I do0'nt even bother touching those settings and leave them be as the default.

The privkey has different prefix (old: 161, new: 144). Try this steps: 1. open http://www.universalwalletgenerator.net/ (or save the source+offline vm, etc.) 2. Setup: Presets currency: Custom Public address network version: 33 Private key prefix: 161 3. At "Wallet Details" tag, enter the privkey, and store somewhere the "Private Key Hexadecimal Format" value. (64 char) 4. Go setup again, and change the private key prefix to 144. 5. Back to "Wallet Details", enter the stored hex privkey, you get the right compressed privkey.

EDIT: nevermind, I swapped 144 with 161 in your instructions and it worked ;-) EDIT2: it accepted the key but added a different address, so no coins :-(

Use both compressed and uncompressed privkey to import. I tested the steps, and i got the same address in esp2.

No he just recovered a private key for the ESP1 address. You still have to swap in order to switch to the new chain.

Dear Novaexchange,
it would be good if you answer my email/pm, and we can talk about your big security bug what i found yesterday!
Thx, Elbandi
If you found something send a email.. not a PM here.. Thanks Already did as soon as i found the bug, at 16:59 GMT.... but no answer from support@ I have never seen Novaexchange answer an email, ever ... I think their support@ address is being forwarded to /dev/null. Personally I don't trust that site an inch any more, just hoping that they will not lose their ESP funds to a script kiddie again ... There was a person who was blackmailing trying to force them to send them BTC. then they would tell them what there issue is. Really?? They responded to him if he was the one who did snapshots. There is one who was trying to help and one who was not. But If he was the one demanding btc they told that person to hit the road and fixed a minor bug. The bug is fixed now, everyone can use novaexchange safely!

@Everyone
Sorry for not having the new full installer released yet (with mining+CCS features enabled). We've just been catching up on work now that the swap is rolling and we can focus on a quite a few things that needed attention.
Github was updated with the correct Ports for hardcoded nodes. (Windows Client will be updated tomorrow morning as well)
Thank you all for sticking by us through this! You support is what we thrive on.
means, you can allready build it from github source, otherwise you have to wait a bit...

If this https://github.com/CryptoCoderz/Espers is the source for v2, would you please update something there so we're very clear about that? I know there are other repos labeled as "OLD" but that doesn't clarify that this is the "NEW" source for the new chain.

Yes, different chain so must be swapped. See the very first post for a visual guide to swapping at nova.
