The satandalon client is nearly done. Some small directory associations are all that's left for the features to still work despite the client now running as one nice package instead of a crapload of DLL files and a required install.

That being said today might be a slow day for news from us. We have a lot of work to finish and we're aiming to finish it.
We'll be back to post the new client once it's ready today.

All you have to do is have coins in your wallet with your wallet open for a prolonged amount of time. then your coins will go from being "spendable" to "stake"

Did you backup ur wallet b4 u installed the new client? Or are u saying u just tried to use the private keys from V1 in the V2 wallet?

Did you backup your wallet.dat?

whenever you reinstall a client you need to backup your wallet.dat in you %appdata% however in this case the update did not have anything to do with the wallet.dat

i would recommend immediately setting up backups offline in secure places if possible.

however for your issue, i would try to recover your previous client to make sure the esp are still there and you did not accidentally delete them. then reinstall the new client again.

found a way to circumnavigate the situation, not that difficult. so no facepalm - if anyone encounters the same issue (or trying to use wallet.dat backup from V1 into V2), have fun and good luck!

When that is converted over to ESP V2 that will be like 28% of all the coins in circulation(If I'm doing my math right, I am on my second drink). Is that a problem of inequitable distribution? Just asking is that a potential issue of overwhelming dominance or nothing to be concerned about going forward? Is it a so what situation, or a... this could be a problem for the coins future?

That is the burn address.  As time goes by and more people swap, it will get larger.  Right now it shows that 45% of all the ESPv1 that were in circulation have already been swapped in a little over a week.  That's pretty good.
