Im interested in trying it out to advance the cause of ESPERS and get the free ESPERS! Also, there are some great features going on with ESPERS. Would ESPERS have any interest in collaborating with DivvyDAO? There is some incredible work going on. Divvy has their own tokens as well but this project is interested in working with others in this space. http://bitcoinmacroeconomics.com/divvydao/

Getting slightly confused. I have downloaded many wallets, sometimes have problems. I went to github and tried, not sure if it did anything, not sure if it updates the previous, but I saw 5.7.0 when I went to help. I also tried the windows way and a small looking wallet popped up, but that didn't do anything when I saw it several months back. I do know I am not seeing the new blue wallet I've seen, which tells me for the fail. Not sure why this is not just a normal download and not finding the right file. Don't really want to load up my files with Espers cause I keep struggling either. your not the only one having probs with finding it :p i just went the source way

OK i go to page 1 of this thread and see Patch 5 (had no clue that was the latest QT) and I go to the Ubuntu github and bunch of github stuff and I see QT but says 2 months ago, so I assume that isn't it. So I go to Windows and figure I'll use wine to open it up. So I tap it and it shows Patch 4 so I assume I don't want that though this is off of Page 1??? Where's the latest wallet or Patch 5?
Nowhere Espers network consist both 0.8.4.1 and 0.8.4.2 with different patches and 1 (one!) protocol 187.10.249.52 60015 Espers:0.8.4.2 Brazil 73.30.72.115 60015 Espers:0.8.4.1 United States http://espv2.miningalts.com/network Patch5 not work because Developers not able fix the source. Sounds like its getting messy. So link on page 1 is correct link? is current github source the right source? not sure what is exactly going on now. :p https://github.com/CryptoCoderz/Espers - current source, last change was Oct, 8 Thank you Samai for the quick response. Makes it easier to skip the compiled wallets and just do it myself :p Thanks again It is confusing but on the front page OP download Windows client - It is actually a launcher, not the wallet itself, so be ok with it saying Espers-v0.8.4.2-Patch-4 Extract the launcher and run, you will see small window - click update Let it do its stuff then run launcher again, look down the bottom of the window and you will see version 0.8.4.2.5 Espers-qt.exe is in ......... AppData\Roaming\CryptoCoderz\ESP-Client or whatever custom directory you gave.

So we are getting slow change of value: in one week from 50litoshi to 75litoshi... so we are close to 1 satoshi.
It would be really great if Coinmarketcap would chanege market data... So that people that are not following ESP will know of ESP
Wow its been a hardwork paying time now i think by making it to 1 sat will allow more investors to get attracted with this project and all those who already been here before will be coming back for sure good job dev team just like what im always saying Espers will prosper..

Apparently I'm not the only one who finds it more of a hassle. When it comes to simplicity, nothing beats a plain old zip file with the executable and whatever libraries it depends on. I wish that was still available

Maybe if the launcher in the OP had have been renamed to be consistent with the current update and called an installer/updater the intention would have been realized?

I've been telling OP to have a stand alone wallet application available, but ... I end up having to extract it from the launcher or updater or whatever. I run that in a VM to get the stand alone wallet, and then kill the VM.

Stand alone wallet application...for what OS? I don't understand why the VM is necessary to extract an application from the launcher/updater...I had no problems running this wallet on Win7 64bit, could you elaborate a bit more as to what ESP version/source you're downloading, and what OS you're running?

Windows 10 here. It's just personal preference. I'm used to "stand alone" wallets as I run all sorts of alt-coins and bitcoin core on my workstation (used to be laptop.)
I run stuff in VMs as a habit. Even my main computer is acting like a giant VM or something. (I can shutdown and reboot and everything goes back to the way it was.)

Same habits here and the launcher version works fine, just point where do you want your datadir folder and it's done. It checks when new release is launched and self updates, give it a chance

@EveryoneThe news: 1. RADIO - Catlin and Cryptocoderz will be getting a local radio spot/show weekly starting next Friday called "The Geek Corner" yeah... we're not joking 2. Public Testnet - the chain is stalled, please do not be concerned we were just busy yesterday, we are rolling the chain back and will have news for everyone shortly. 3. Main Net - Will be receiving several updates from testnet over the next few days as well, no forks though so don't worry about not having the latest client. 4. Low Forum Activity - If you notice us have less forum activity again please do not be concerned, we are smaller team and as such when things start picking up as they are the team's workload becomes bigger and there is less and less time to participate socially. We will make sure to stop by AT LEAST one per day as a minimum with updates and news as well as to answer any questions the community might have. On that note, we'll be online all tonight (as one of the devs I know I am) and expect to provide you guys with some interesting developments. Thanks again to everyone for being a part of this! It is confusing but on the front page OP download Windows client - It is actually a launcher, not the wallet itself, so be ok with it saying Espers-v0.8.4.2-Patch-4 Extract the launcher and run, you will see small window - click update Let it do its stuff then run launcher again, look down the bottom of the window and you will see version 0.8.4.2.5 Espers-qt.exe is in ......... I wish that was still available We'll zip a standalone, again the updater for Windows is pushed so much because you still have a standalone in the data directory and this removes the hassle of worrying about new releases. Due to sheer demand however we will make sure to provide a zipped standalone with a link on the OP
