This project looks like a real nice scam Happy loosing guys !! Yeah Alot of people will start launching ICO's to scam coins after waves looks like getting to 15k BTC. I labeled it as a scam as soon as I saw Alty as a project manager, he failed before, he was dishonest on another shitcoin, why would people put such project manager into place, you would want to avoid that first, to at least look a minimum legit if you are making a serious business. But I suppose, he created "Rise" so this would make total sense, or his team lack knowledge on his past, or they just don't care as long as it makes money for an hour or two pick your bets, but any of those bets does not show a positive side to me. Then the other flags are : Same tactics than other ico, copy paste with "future features". Copy paste on signature, model of icos etc. Making new with old . Then the usual shitty presentation video just like in cloakcoin, some nice graphicals stuff, so it's eye catchy, and voila ! Recipe for the best new coin of the hour. Yes "Rise rise !" old scammer. In any case, "if it looks like a fish and smells like a fish.. Well.. It probably ain't a cat !" Alty was not the reason the coin pumped and dumped and his lead developer produced faulty code and left the project. Regardless, Justin and I cofounded this coin so please stop spreading rumors. Thank you. -rem That he was the reason or not. He still lied. He still was a project manager, and a project manager is responsible, else he is not a project manager , right ? He was such a big boy that he was deleting all the truth about cloakcoin in his over moderated thread, and was hyping it, when he supposely knew about all the problems you talk about. So, he did not dump ?? It's not coherent with how he behaved back then for quite a long time also, before finnaly saying "ups we fucked up, I give up like the big leader I am after all the lies and stalling". This is certainly what I don't want to see from a "leader". It's not a rumor, I was there. I was on irc all the time too, and I was well into this coin . Regards.

Well not to discredit Alty as he has been very helpful and productive, there is a lot more going on with this project than alty. As much as it may pain you, I encourage you to follow along in what we are doing. Justin provides daily progress reports and we are in this for the long haul. You'll see.

Will RIS be listed on Poloniex?
We have not heard from any exchanges. We'll reach out to them as we near launch but ultimately it's up to the exchanges if they want to trade the coin. Thanks for the question. -rem

Daily Dev UpdateRelated Blog Post2-Factor Authentication is finally done, and launched. We still want to add social authentication, but that is going to be coming soon. We wanted to get 2FA out ASAP to ensure that you all had the security on your accounts that you have been asking for. To activate 2FA, click on the "Configure" button in the 2-Factor Authentication section of "Your Details". A modal with a QR code will pop up. This is a randomly generated hex string to create the QR code and be used to validate your token. This version of 2FA is ONLY usable with Soft-tokens (like Google Authenticator, Authy, ect). Also, we added some Profile validations when you go to edit the profile. If you get an error when you edit your profile, when you click back into "Edit" you will see the errors on the field you had an error on. For the most part, this is only important for the email and password fields. We do still have some duplicates in the system. If you have any issues with your account, shoot us an email and someone will help you out. This will be the last Dev Update until Tuesday, May 31st. Enjoy!

Dear Team!
Why do you want to running all the 101 nodes by yourself? Why not let the community setting up the delegate nodes? (Like Lisk)
Then people would be able to "mining" this coin.
Or do you want to take all the forging fees too?
Cheers!
Thanks for the question! We are only planning on running all of the nodes ourselves initially. As soon as we launch main net, you can become a delegate, and start getting votes, as soon as you have the votes to overtake one of our servers, you will become an active delegate. We will always run 101 delegates, to ensure that we always have enough active, 100% (or as close to it as possible) uptime delegates available should others drop out. We definitely don't want to always run delegates ourselves, and have all of them all the time, and we definitely don't want to prevent anyone else from being able to become delegates so we can share the rewards for doing so.

When can we trade the coins after the ICO ?
We are aiming to have the mainnet up immediately following the ICO. And also whenever exchanges decide to pick us up.

Personally if you want to make this project a success and big then focus on development. That Project Acre shouldn't even be under discussion. RISE has a potential of being THE Dapp platform if you really focus on that. Way better than LISK on paper as of now.
To make it a reality development should be the big thing. Forget Acre thats actually is a smalltime project building and selling real estate. If you get 10,000 BTC then maybe it makes sense to do that
600 BTC (if you get that much) means roughly $260,000. For a year that would be $22K per month, which only can support maybe 2-3 good developers. That is NOT enough.
If you get 1250 BTC, 100% of it should be used to get MORE experienced Devs. Right now I think Justin you are the only experienced dev, you need to get high experienced dev to get the ball rolling quicker.
The shorter your time-to-market the more valuable this project will be. Secondly adding Highly Experienced dev is going to add credibility to the project, right now it seems most of your dev are your friends from Carbonite.
So if you guys are serious about making this project big, then I'd recommend shelving Acre as a separate token sale or only do it if you get like 10K BTC. The value you can create for RISE itself will be huge if you FOCUS your resources and GET HIGHLY EXPERIENCED devs, maybe even from India/Russia if they have experience, not some junior dev to manage funds better.
I see potential here, but you need to manage this potential otherwise you'll screw up this project. Acre is peanuts and shouldn't be even under consideration at 1250 BTC. Acre sounds more like a kids plan because everyone likes Real Estate and dream of that business. But what you have in RISE is BIG, so don't screw it over by focusing on 2 complete unrelated projects. Technology has HUGE potential vs real estate. So I would highly urge to create value by adding EXPERIENCED well-known dev to the team and use the extra funds to support that.
Thanks for the comments and concerns pertaining to Acre. In fact, the Rise team has been discussing Acre amongst ourselves for the past week. Acre was removed several days ago from the OP because we feared it was a distraction from the core project, Rise. Because of this we will start working on acre again when we finish with all of the core functionality of Rise later on down the road. This now means that all funds raised in the ICO will go to development funds for Rise tech as the priority. A formal statement will be posted on the website shortly. I will support this wise decision by investing some more in rise. Glad you put the focus on core itself.

SERVER MAINTENANCE ENDED
We have finished upgrading the core server under Rise-Web, we didn't end up with a significant amount of downtime, but some investments didn't make it into the system yet. It will take a couple of hours, but they should be all in the system by midnight tonight (EST).
We also realized that the UX for the 2FA configuration was, well, terrible. At the request of Abid Abbas, we added the OTP key to the configuration screen so you can manually enter it into your authenticators, instead of only using the scanner. Additionally, you can now access your secret key, in a read only fashion, on the "edit" modal of the profile. This will facilitate adding it to multiple authenticators, if you wish.
Thanks for your patience during this maintenance.
Side note - Autofill on browsers will change the OTP key on the edit modal. I'm looking into a way to prevent this. Found - hurray for MDN and autocomplete="off"
