We were terrible and did not deserve to win but we don’t care one bit. Many teams that go on to win the CL have games like this. Liverpool battered Real in the 2022 final, Courtois had the game of his life and Real won 1-0.

Real parked the bus against Man City at the Etihad last season, got lucky throughout the whole game, managing to limp over the line to win on penalties. Last years final, Dortmund should have been out of sight in the 1st half but Real did what Real do, held on and then went on to win.

In a cup competition you need a lot of luck, quite often the best team in Europe doesn’t win the CL. It’s the hardest competition to win in football in my opinion.
