Hey created an article and posted a week ago and i was trying to edit few of the lines in there but wasn't able to. Can you guys tell me how to edit an article I've posted? Was a bit worried because I wanna add some of what I wrote which is basically important. please help.
The edit window is for the first 24hrs. Then it's fixed for eternity... I think the 24 hour lock was unintended and will be changed to 30 days. Probably won't be retroactive though. Other than that the only thing you can do is post a correction as a new post. Imagine a scenario where a "celeb" top-earning author, bags 1000$ per day, and then decides to edit his old posts and remove his content because he had a lame disagreement with someone. He's now bagged 29-30k over a month for pages that now look like title: Deleted content: blank ...I've seen various events like that happen in forums, where members would rage-delete old posts.

Does Steemit or Blocktrades have a help desk?
I transferred 1 BTC to add additional Steem Power to my steemit.com account more than twelve hours ago. The transaction went through almost immediately and the steem power was credited to my account within 10 minutes of transferring the 1 BTC from Poloniex. I then transferred an additional 1.5 BTC to buy additional Steem Power. The transaction went through. However, the steem power was never credited to my steemit.com account for the 1.5 BTC. Any suggestions?
The 1 BTC transfer (c020dd395c897afa3ea6303e4ab8064df08c416f508ba7ed1e42abfaddde75e9) has 66 confirmation as of this posting. I was credited Steem Power for this transaction within ten minutes of the transfer.
The 1.5 BTC transfer (a95b81d5caf76b77b59393bdb3d6a459d0a38ca413d05ab504ed6a0a2579c537) has 65 confirmations as of this posting. I was NOT credited Steem Power for this transaction.
Both transactions went to 1JHZ5vAgkdW2npJ6NcE6MiQo5BHFL21jRs. This is the address associated with my steemit.com account and is used for purchasing Steem Power with BTC by way of Blocktrades.
I don't know if this is of any help but have you tried any of those? BlockTrades list those in their contact page https://blocktrades.us/contactsupport@blocktrades.us or info@blocktrades.us

It would be really nice if POW mining estimated time to produce a block is fixed! atm there is almost none math to it, if it say 250min to mine block you need 3-4 days at least!

Either way it is in the release notes for the upcoming update that it is being changed to 30 days. I'd prefer to see all the old versions accessible like wikipedia but that requires development effort and probably isn't a priority. They're still accessible using a blockchain explorer.

Will steemit hire someone to moderate thr contents? Maybe they can check before someone deletes a blog post entirely, aprrove revisios and so on. Or maybe completely disallow deleting.

Deleting is similar to editing, in a sense. Because you can simply replace all the text with crappy text like ADASDIASFJIFJSADJASDAS. It wouldn't really prevent ragequit/rageprostest-deleting, or hacking vandalism (someone breaks the key of a known author and vandalizes their content). Once enabled, these type of things might happen. So, at that point, having an option to display older revisions, like Smooth said above, could work. It would be like wikipedia, or the archive.org snapshots of the same page, over different periods. Centralized-type approval would probably introduce many issues. The moment you centralize content control you also become more vulnerable to government intervention. The less content control there is, the better.

Hey friends, I'm new to cryptocurrencies and I just want to know if STEEM has any plausible potential to go up in value. If so then could any of you explain? To my understanding STEEM is given to people for creating good content so there's our supply, but where is demand? Why would anyone buy STEEM? Why would I need it?

You don't need it. However, if someone wants to acquire large voting power in STEEM, that's when they'd buy a lot of STEEM. If your next question is why would anybody want a large voting power in STEEM, the answer is that voters with large power can get "curation income" from finding and upvoting good content. A whale voter might get something like 1-2k usd per day (in steem power) just for voting. But they may need a stake which is in the 6 or 7 digits.

The moment you centralize content control you also become more vulnerable to government intervention. The less content control there is, the better. That's true. Another solution could be to allow modifications which are changing the original text by some limited percent (up to 10%). As the posts are simple text (mostly), the volume of changes could be estimated (like common tools like BeyondCompare do). The way to estimate the amount of changes, and the exact percentage to allow is still to be defined, but that could be a way to go...

I feel like this "redistribution" plan might fail. If all the powered down steem gets dumped on the market quick as possible, it will redistribute SP, but the price will have crashed so much that the new holders will barely be able to upvote $0.01. And the hardcore buyers will still end up as the largest holders and nothing will have changed except the price will be shit.

yeah, the change will only delay the inevitable, and put even more pressure on the steem dollar peg in my opinion

Coin is much undervalued and the price is falling when BTC falls too! Whale manipulation? No, the main reason for the constant fall is because those who figured out the sneaky mine early and became steemit whales are now slowly cashing out their bounty. This redistribution could go on for quite sometime. Hats off to those who got in early.
