I don't understand why they picked a old x11 algo...once it turns to asci you loose so much interest.

Really, do you have proof for ASCI for equihash besides rumors unlike x11 that is proven. This algo will be the death of this coin. I like the idea, but the algo killed it.

Agree 100%... the Algo means very little. If the coin was based upon its solid algo, you should be mining XMG. You can FPGA anything on a GPU then optimize. That's really all an ASIC is, super optimized. I've accidentally killed a couple coins with new algos knowing how to put that algo in a GPU. Take Axiom for example. Good Coin with a bright future because of its resistance to FPGA was cracked, not by me but I followed, it is gone. Say what you want about PoS, its very resistant to FPGA. |

people buy gpu's and put them in a riser card correct? What specifically would they use those for? one specific thing, mining and that makes it application specific. |
