yeah this can happen if in the future there is a new technology that replaces bitcoin and bitcoin can't keep up. but that is in the far future. they expect this kind of answer from you, you realize your usrename is? bitcoin will one day be replaced and i'm pretty sure of that. why are the devs creating more and more innovative coins is because they are trying to find a better technology than bitcoin. btc is just lucky that it grow because there was nothing else back then. |

Any thing could happen in this world..this can be happen but right now i dont think this to happen in some years..bitcoin is way ahead than any other cryptocurrency...litecoin and ethereum are the 2nd and 3rd which are way behind bitcoin no competition...
maybe bitcoin will be replaced by the other coin but it is not because the time of bitcoin has been antiquated . maybe the reason would be is killed by the people who developed bitcoin and also if the bitcoin mining will stop . |

Yes its now just impossible to replace bitcoin by any other cryptocurrency as bitcoin is well knowned and more trusted by millions of users now ! some cryptocurrency like litecoin can just compete as they are just copy of bitcoin but to replace its just too difficult seeing today's society ! |

I think it's possible, especially if there is one created by the big banks. On the other hand I think if bitcoin fails, there's not going to be much that's better that's going to come along. It really is entrenched. When people think of crypto, they think of bitcoin.

i don't agree at all. one of the most amazing features of bitcoin or any other altcoin for that matter is the decentralized feature of them so if a bank creates it then nobody will ever be interested in it because they are using fiat without any problem now. |

Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?
I do not think that Bitcoin is going to be take over by a other currency because Bitcoin is the most popular so it would really take something to take it over. It can be possible that Bitcoin is going to take over a other cryptocurrency. |
