It might be replaced by many cryptocurrencies if it does not achieve what it was supposed to in the first place.
And what it will be that 'thing' bitcoin supposedly needs to achieve? Total world domination? Bitcoin used by everyone with internet access in the world? How many years it will pass when we will know for sure that bitcoin has failed us? There is too many question here and no specific answers. No any specific answers would be impossible to give, it could go either way. I think btc will not be replaced by some other coin, but it will upgrade witht the time or people lose interest at some point and it will vanish.

I don't think that bitcoin will be vanished, there are a lot of supporters for bitcoin and they will work hard for it to make it long lived currency, and it is the master of crypto currencies and if it lost its position people will also lose trust on altcoins, so the owners of altcoins also support to continue bitcoin to give life to crypto world.

Bitcoin is not going to be replaced by another cryptocurrency because it is the first one and most successful one. It is almost impossible to make another cryptocurrency and raise it to the top, beyond Bitcoin. Nothing is impossible, but it is really hard to believe that Bitcoin will ever be replaced by another cryptocurrency. And why would you want to believe in that? What is so bad about Bitcoin ? I do not see any problems, the currency is great.

I don't know in Future it may happen I am not sure. But at present in cryptocurrency world, The Bitcoin is the leader for all coins. Yes, there are many cryptocurrencies there. But no one can touch the Bitcoin price. And the usage of Bitcoin is very easy. All gamblers are like to use this Bitcoin for betting. So I think now no other currency will replace Bitcoin.
i think bitcoin will surely remain the leader of all the cryptocurrencies that we will ever have because a lot of people are already into it and they will keep on buying it in the future

Yes. Like all technology it will become deprecated one day and replaced by another technology. Proof-of-Work is already turning out to be a failed technology because it centralizes the miners with the most wealth and this will lead to PoW deprecation. Remember, Bitcoin is just an experiment and until it is code stable and a complete and easy solution it can still fail.

I hope not. I guess if this happens, there will start a 'fight' between these two: the prices. The other cryptocurrency miners will want higher price than BTC and vice-versa. But that might mean a total failure for one of them..

I would be already buying a lot of a supposed real competitor against Bitcoin, but guess what, bitcoin has just no competition, and seeing how things are going, I doubt Bitcoin is ever going to have any competition unless someone comes up with something as mindblowing itself, but that only happens every hundreds of years, so we are safe. Just keep buying and holding Bitcoin, we are on the winning team.

I have great hopes for bitcoins and the future of humankind. Bitcoins will be the top cryptocurrency in the coming days and guess it will be modified to stay on the game.

Nothing lasts forever, but in few years horizont I dont see how Bitcoin can be replaced by some another, more popular cryptocurrency. The Proof-of-Work method encourages low cost of electricity when mining, so the Bitcoin mining moves to places with cheapest electricity (toward better effectivity), and has nothing to do with wealth unless you believe only lanrge scale operations get cheapest electricity.

Ethereum is doing very well, but I don't think any crypto will replace another, simply be used for a different purpose.

Theres a possibility that this will happen if the bitcoin price will be stable like currency because traders, bitcoin user earn in not stable bitcoin. So i think if the price will be stable they need to replace another coin that will become like bitcoin but as of now it looks like it will happen in the next century.

There are some good crypto currencies but for me bitcoin is the real deal. No crypto currency will be able to replace bitcoin that easy. Especially the bitcoin eco system is very strong these days.

If there is a crypto currencie able to change the world that currencie its bitcoins, the other may follow and reach the same level, but the rank of bitcoin is and will always be king of currencies, it has opened the doors of crypto world and since then the world is learning.

I will have to agree with that. That is why others are called altcoins I think. But what if the forum is litecointalk. Is bitcoin an altcoin to them also?
