Thank you i tried to compute with 50 TB i guess its profitable to run a Burst MiningRigs. I will start by next year and will update the thread with my progress and results.

Thank's guys for your inputs.

I think the calculation in some websites might not correct. I think the total Burst we mined should be 75-80% of that calculation.

Ive been mining burst now for the past few years, its great to see the price finally rise a little after one of the devs ripped lots off people with his scam burst suffered big time. Also choose your mining pool carefully some of them dont pay the correct amount nor do they care about it when you contact them, it would be nice to see the network spread evenly and wipe some of the so called big players out that say they payed you x amount but in reality you only got half of what they say if that.

I have not seen really good proposals for miners lately but Burst seems to me  really an important project. Also I have heard a lot about this project.

Fascinating to see what's happening with Burst and the price.  Probably didn't need the John McAfee coin of the day, the rumour and news were already moving the price higher.  I can't help thinking that Burst is going to be a top 100 coin in 2018 and could be a great one to hold.  Steem came out with some great news a few months ago and the price didn't start to reflect it until recently.  Perhaps the same will happen with Burst?  It feels like some of this news is in the price but there's a lot of room for it to go up now.

thanks for the important reminders. I am planning to start solo mining if possible.

since i will start with 50TB if its enough for solo mining.

burst will change to DAG, a great news

Could you please share more info regarding this?

Hey all the information can be found here:
https://www.burst-coin.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/The-Burst-Dymaxion-1.00.pdf

It is a great read. I found myself falling asleep yesterday when I remembered about the Dymaxion announcement. Then I pulled out my phone and stayed awake to read the whole damn document! Smiley

Man this is real good stuff!

Is there any Mining Calculator for BURST Mining? I am planning to build a 50TB Burst Mining PC.

can anyone give me a basic idea on how many Burst can i get per 1TB per week.

Try this calculator, it will give you an approximate amount to expect which could vary if difficulty and block reward changes:

http://burstcoincalculator.com/

Thank you i tried to compute with 50 TB i guess its profitable to run a Burst MiningRigs. I will start by next year and will update the thread with my progress and results.

Thank's guys for your inputs.

The time for RoI was about a year a few months back, with the recent price increase it has decreased.

Is the windows wallet the only one you can use for mining?  Can you mine with a chromebook?

The core wallet does not mine, you'd need a standalone miner unless you use the bundled wallet. You can mine with a chromebook, I don't see why not.

I think Blago miner should be one of the best and it may be helpful for you, check it here:

This might be worth watching for the newer members of our little burst community.
Please help me spread the word and get this higher in the search results by sharing it to other sites, social media channels or blogs.

Cheers!

What, for the new PoC2 in the Dymaxion? No replotting is required, just maybe some optimizing of old plots but definitly no replotting.

You heard incorrectly and/or should re-read the whitepaper Tongue
This is a litteral quote taken straight from the whitepaper:

"Proof-of-Capacity 2.0: backward-compatible plots"

Please join us on the Reddit or the Discord channel where this is discussed quite often with the actual developers.

To add, here is a bit more info taken straight from the whitepaper:
"The PoC2 proposal is a minimally invasive way to achieve
time-memory tradeoff resistance, while keeping the currently
used plots functional. Figure 14 shows the concept of hash
interleaving to re-shuffle SHABAL256 hashes in scoops in a
way so that each scoop represents an equal amount of hashing
effort.
Software used for the mining process can operate on both
PoC1 as well as PoC2 format, where PoC1 requires twice the
reads compared to PoC2 and works on both optimized as well
as unoptimized PoC1 plots.
For better PoC2 performance a PoC1 → PoC2 converter
will be offered."

The 'converter', or optimizer, will not just be a re-plotter. You will not have to go through that entire process again.

I hope u are right. I have 150TB mining right now and another 50tb on the way but i have my doubts tbh. time will tell us...

first of all u need to quick format them in NTFS and then start plotting using https://github.com/Blagodarenko/XPlotter/releases  or u can use the plotter that's wallet integrated. after plotting is done u can start mining
