Hey guys if anyone is kind enough to send me a couple of burst to start mining Thanks.
Will send it back as soon as they are mined.

BURST-NFBM-MKUW-YU9A-A4C3X

Thanks again

https://faucet.burstpay.net/

1 BURST for free if your address don't have any tx's

I kinda used that one and i did what the wallet said to get a public address and now i need 1 more to get into the mining pool.
If one is kind enough , thanks will send it back when mined.
Thanks

Yes we do, https://t.me/burstcoin. It already has 1883 members and growing. The same with /r/burstcoin, the subscribers have been growing more now than it did before the PoCC took over the development process.

Having that said, by the end of 2018, we might have 50,000 subscribers on Reddit. Thats a good sign for Burst as a project.

Does this use up a lot more internet bandwidth compared to GPU mining?   GPU mining doesn't use much bandwidth at all.  I have a 2TB HDD laying around I'd like to hookup but don't want my ISP complaining I"m using too much bandwidth.

No ,the address is not the same. My image shows "welcome to your new account" because was set my acc. I tryed several times wit my phrases

If the address is not the same is clear that you created a new account, and memorized bad the password for the account where you deposited burst.... this is not a good think, because your passphrase is you private key to enter the wallet, no possibility to recover, if you can't find the right one, your coins, sorry, but are lost.
But i have the phrases from the previous acc. Isnt there any way to recover it?

If you have the prahse of the account you have the burst in, if you enter in a wallet, your coins have to be shown, if it give you another burst address entering the words, it means that you noted down something wrong, and without the exact password, you can't enter on the account.

You may have had a space on the end of the phrase by mistake....it sees the space as part of the passphrase...try with / without a space as the first or last character...

Hi
New user. Hopefully I'm in correct thread. Having difficulties with activating Burst account and would appreciate any help with funds to get it started.

BURST-FG8Y-YDRG-AJHD-3N2BD

Thanks in advance - been a 3 hour learning curve how to get account activated but think this is what I've got to do.

Hi guys,

I am trying to set up things on my new burstcoin mining server.
It's weaponized with:
2x Intel Xeon E5620 2.4GHz and 16GB ECC RAM
3x 80mm fans which are 57 dBa, you don't want to have it in your living room. They would cut fingers easily if not protected with grilles from both sides:D
LSI MegaRAID controller with 12x 2TB SATA HDDs

All powered by Linux. Right now I am plotting storage space, it's gonna take days using CPU plotter (I am using omdcct version).
I've set up my wallet already. Signed for 1 BURST from faucet, but didn't received anything and it's been over a week.
Any kind person is willing to send me like 2 or 3 BURST coins? I promise to send back DOUBLE amount, once everything is set up.
My wallet is:
Code:
BURST-G59H-EFBA-VCAT-EXHV2
Please let me know if you send anything, I need only one person:)

Question:
I am plotting files 4TB each time (it takes more than a day to plot 4TB). They will be optimized already after plotting. Can I start mining straight after I have first 4TB plot file? Or I need to wait for whole storage to be plotted first?
What miner is recommended to use on Linux? I will be mining to pool server, no local burstcoin server will be present.
Also, does miner use a lot of CPU time? Plotting does a lot, it's actually saturating everything you throw at it. But what about miner, is it light on CPU?

Thank you!

You can start mining after your first plot file right away, if you've set the reward assignment to the chosen pool. For Linux I think you can use https://github.com/alter3d/creepMiner. I've sent you a PM for some starting BURST.

Just PM'd you!
I downloaded and compiled the miner. It's waiting for first plot file, it will be ready in 13 hours  Undecided
But once that's done, I can start mining Smiley
I've tried to register my reward assignment on 50-50-pool.burst.cryptoguru.org, but I got an error. I guess I need 1 BURST in order to do that. Let me know once you send it Smiley

EDIT: I've got it now Smiley Tx ID Just signed my reward assignment with the pool. Not long from now and I can start mine:) Thank you!

I sent you 3 BURST: 1 for setting your 'account name', and getting the 'public key'. The second is for reward assignment. The third BURST is for covering the transaction fee for paying me back when you get your first payout from the pool.  Grin

Good luck!

Hold on, how do I set account name and public key? Smiley
So far, I've used:

online wallet service, I got my wallet working just fine (free)
plotter (free)
reward assignment to the pool (paid 1 BURST)
miner (free)

What did I missed? I've seen some videos on YT and read, that nowadays I don't need to pay multiple times to set up different things, but I am not sure Smiley

You can set your account info by clicking above your BURST address in your wallet, if I remember correctly. You only need it in case you use Bittrex for exchange as they require to include a certain message along with your deposit, and messages can be sent only if you have a public key assigned to the wallet, and that you obtain after setting your account info.

Thanks. I will check that now!

EDIT: Account name set, thanks Smiley

A question:

Can I mine to same wallet, from different hosts?
I could plot on one machine and mine. And then another machine would just continue nonces in numerical order so they would just expand existing nonce range?
Is it possible? If it is, does it matter that other hosts can have different HDD read speeds? Second machine is just single disk, not a RAID.

i will be going through their whitepaper..

Absolutely, be sure too. The Dymaxion whitepaper is a fantastic read, very insightful. It is evident that a lot of time and critical thinking is going on behind the scenes.

The burst pocc devs are damn geniuses! If they implement what they promise, my hat goes off to all of them.

Well done guys, we are nearing 80% PoCC nodes, that is really solid. It is amazing to see that the community is coming together and uniting for one cause.
