Please help install under Linux mint 18 . cannot past openCL error.
I really waste 7 days to run wallet , plot and other crap on PC.
Ryzen 5 ,  GTX1080, 8Gb ram , 64Gb SSD, plottting 2TB HDD failed.
yes im installed driver, lubcuda, opencl headers, opencl icd (nvidia, mesa)  (see screenshot)
i even update mesa to 18.2 and kernel to 4.17rc4 but it not helped

 user@PC1 /media/user/F/Work/Mining/burst/gpuPlotGenerator-bin-centos-x64-4.1.3 $
(yes i know about 4.1.4 but it SOURCE CODES, i don't know how it to compile without errors and compiling openSSL1.1.0 or etc crap dlls)

 ./gpuPlotGenerator generate buffer /media/user/Burst-1/Piot/123456_0_3711168_3711168
------------------------- GPU plot generator v4.1.2 -------------------------
Author: Cryo ---- Loading platforms... Loading devices...
[ERROR][-1][CL_DEVICE_NOT_FOUND] Unable to retrieve the OpenCL devices number

screenshot

 https://sun1-4.userapi.com/c840634/v840634402/8270c/KQCCjxWTI70.jpg

but program has information about OpenCL and videocard
./gpuPlotGenerator listDevices 0 -------------------------
Devices number: 1 ---- Id: 0 Type: GPU Name: GeForce GTX 1080 Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation Version: OpenCL 1.2 CUDA Driver version: 396.26 Max clock frequency: 1797MHz Max compute units: 20 Global memory size: 7GB 950MB 256KB Max memory allocation size: 1GB 1005MB 576KB Max work group size: 1024 Local memory size: 48KB Max work-item sizes: (1024, 1024, 64)

Did you already solve your plotting problem? If you still are having problems, I suggest you go ask in /r/burstcoin. All the miners in the community go there to help mining newbies with all of their problems.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Burst announcement. Read this checklist from the PoCC on what everyone must do to be ready for the hard fork on block 500,000.

Burst hard fork checklist

It is also a statement from the PoCC that all your coins and assets will be safe. Do not listen to Focus in Burstnation who spreads FUD.

Who mines Burst here? I have some questions about computer hardware. I would ask for some help in /r/burstcoin but I am banned over there for asking the wrong questions lol.

Some moderators there censor you for asking the challenging questions. I will not make the effort of making a new account just to post there.

In my opinion, The Qbundle seems to be awsome. This is a very huge update, even with the integratet plotting and mining software. I´m amazed.

There's nothing wrong. I want to ask what hardware is good for plotting and what hard drives are good for mining. My budget without the hard drives and monitor would be $500.

Anyhow, calling everyone! The community needs everyone's support for funding the Blockchain Northwest conference booth and panel for Burst.

Hello Burst believers,

Our aim is to add value to the whole crypto community by giving the best user experience to analyse cryptocurrencies.

It would be really great help from your side if you can spend 60 seconds of your time and give us your valuable feedback for our two recent updates 1) Snapshot and 2) Colourful
interface of Burst at: https://cointopper.com/coin/burst

Constructive criticisms are always welcome at CoinTopper.  Thank you!!

all hardware is good if it s not to old should at lease have a dualcore with sse to read the plots, if there are not to much hard drives
if you have a lot hard driver then need an avx cpu because sse (even 4 core is not fast enough)
SSE is really bad optimized

should have a fast enough cpu to plot (i plotted from an other computer over the network, must be gigabyte)
but you can also plot with more slower cpu's on different computer or other network (but better not plot on the same driver with more cpu's unless they really slow)

Ty for the advice carlo. I am preparing myself for hard drive mining experience before Chia and SpaceMesh are released. I am also slowly buying old HDs. They might increase in price if Proof of Capacity and Proof of Space and Time become more popular.

Hi mate,
I am not familiar with mining using HDDs, this is my first time I intend to do this, so I need your help to figure out what I should do to use my old HDDs for mining BURST.
How about profitability of HDD mining?
Is it profitable enough to pay for electricity bills?
Thanks for all your help.

Tech is solid, now burst is getting exposure. Fork coming, first conference to accept the coin as well as the coin being represented there. Also not general market strength is coming back.

I'm buying every month a small amount of Burst. If someday the real value of Burst is public then  Cool
