Being part of the project could be possible.  It would make sense.

His getting a terminal disease after the project was done makes sense too, but I don't know Hal's family history.  There could be a good explanation to his sudden diagnosis, like a family history with the same disease.

There's reason to be paranoid.  Odd deaths and suicides surrounding cryptos.

The NameCoin Dev recently died and not a single word in the media.

Why is that weird?

He was only 27.  And he died of a heart attack.

If you're a dev in the crypto space you should be careful what you say and don't own any nail-guns.

Speaking of which:  I say way too much.  Like right now for instance.

And there are more, multiple world class cryptographers who disappeared or died mysteriously at young ages right before Bitcoin was launched.  Definitely good fodder for any good conspiracy theorist.

Cause people do die all the time and there's millions of people in this community now.

If he was working on something like say a coin which would truly be anonymous or anything like that then the odds of foul play would sky rocket.

If you look at some of the other guys they were true geniuses and involved in code cracking cryptography or anonymity technology.  Both crucial to Bitcoin's survival and crucial to keep Bitcoin centralized and NOT anonymous and NOT decentralized like Andreas and all the experts keep lying to the TV watching masses.

Nah, he deleted his post after I confronted him.

He's a scammer for sure looking to rob helpless people.

I really really dislike scammers.  Like the ZET devs whom are now clearly known to have lied and scammed people for some 2 months.   I tried to warn everyone but nobody believed me. 

It's really sad cause lots of inexperienced people come in and they believe these scammers and they get taken for everything they got and then Cryptos get a bad rap on top of it.

We need some oversight, some enforcement of the rule of law in CryptoLand.

But until then I need to launch CoinTruth .com to educate people and make a list of all the known scammers out there.  A website you can trust and which may end up saving you a lot of money by redlining scammers and ScamCoins.

You should, or someone should have it tiered by known scammers, huge premine, suspected scams, up front donation/investment requests etc.....

I am leaning toward Hal being Satoshi. The onset of ALS and Satoshi leaving at the same time is a pretty big coincidence. Then throw in Hal's proof of work and coming and going and coming back corresponding to Satoshi's presence in the opposite way. I think it's a safe bet, Hal has something to do with Satoshi's identity.

The guy is dying, has maybe months to live and doesn't have enough money for treatment.

If he is Satoshi do you think he's waiting for a resurrection to use those 800,000 Bitcoins in his wallet or to get his claim to fame?

Or do you think he's afraid the Feds will track him to his grave and kill him a second time?

Let's get real.

At most, Hal helped create BTC, but I would say even that is a stretch, albeit, a possibility.

He served to harden the framework of bitcoin in the very early days and we all owe him a debt of gratitude to making our lives (even those who don't use bitcoin) just a little more secure.

However, what a diamond in the rough this post is, and what an inspiration Hal is.

Thank you for all that you have done for all of us. If some day I can look back on my life and confidently believe that I have made one tenth of the contributions you have, I will die a happy man.

I hope life is still good for you a year or so after you originally created this thread.
