Nah, don't mine doge. It's had it's day. Either do Lotto/CHN (which seem to be doing ok on profitability) or go for a new coin like Moon, Earth, etc.

Mining for a while now, got together with few friends and built a rig with 4 r9 280x, getting decent hashes Smiley

Started off with Mining LTC now it varies between LTC and a few ALTcoins.

Hi all,

Coin n00b here.

Just started to mine with one 7970. It's not much but definitely way better than nVidia cards.

Well, I'm sort of mining. Luckily, my friend never really shuts off his comp, so I get to use his comp, electric bill free. Unfortunately, due to the lack of any kind of modification, it's abysmally slow. Try bitcoinplus.com . It's a browser-based mining site.

I would like to be able to mine but the electricity bill simply becomes too damn high. I wish there was a way for all of us to mine together, however low of a hash rate as long as a minimum was met, and received a good amount of coins.

I suppose that would be too effortless but I'm sure if another successful alt-coin was to be produced a more communal delivery method would benefit.

I'm doing a bit of mining, Alt-coins more for me since i don't have the GPU power. Currently i have 3 laptops going fulltime. and my rig which is just a nicer gaming pc.
i only have a gtx 550 though so i can't scrypt mine yet, i'm stuck with CPU mining. but soon i'll get some 6950's. I also just picked up a block erupter for a hell of it.
and i also have a few cloud Miners, so i have like 7 miners total. (only bringing in about 15DATA coin every 25hr.) i'm hoping to trade them for something else and work my way up.
i bought into bitcoin a few weeks ago and got like .05 (nothing crazy) took it to BTC-E and started trading around for primex (XPM) and got up to .07. i just got .1 more. trading is where it's at!

but yeah mining is cool, i was doing primecoin. now i'm doing data. i might switch to prime again or something else. Litecoin is the way i'll most likely go when i get the 6950'sBTC Cool

mining on a multipool, trading for BTC.  i miss the days of BTC mining pre-ASIC and fear the same will happen to scrypts.  It's a brave new world

As soon as ASIC for scrypt kicks in i will switch to something ASIC resistant. Would love to see a coin that uses our CPU power for something benefitial, but something truly benefitial, not like finding primenumbers. Something like finding cancer cure.

Did some mining a while back on bitcoins, but it was not very profitable.

Maybe I'll start again on some altcoin, also would prefer a coin only supporting CPU mining.

Just started mining getting 300mhash is this any good? And what is the best coin to mine as a solo miner or is it just better to join a pool?

I'm mining at 565 kh/s. I was mining DogeCoin but my pool did a switch to Nyancoin for testing purpose. So for the next few days, I'll mine Nyan coin. Anyway the price of DogeCoin is at an all time low so I don't really mind.I don't really thing I'll make any money out of this new coin, but being new to mining, its fun to actually get some coin and trade it in the exchange market.

Yesterday, I've exchange all my earning and put in into the NXT. I'm still waiting for my exchange to credit my NXT to my wallet though. Again, this is just for fun, I don't have any expectation with new crypto currency ... but we never know  Grin
