 I do believe in god,the bible is the source of my information .the bible covers all aspects of  human question ,who am i,where am i going ,what is the purpose of life,is anything beyond physical death,where did it all start,the character and attributes of a god clearly identifiable,god reaches out to man,man has a choice one way or the other to come to  god on his terms or reject him.

god is there for people who cant handle something in live, so they are asking for help. the best thing is, to find a spiritual way to yourself and then start talking to yourself like to god. its the same effect, but you skip the god bullshit.

Most people come to believe in God because their lives are simply destroyed. But I myself witness how a person became the best after he believed. And it's almost like miracles.

I don't want to call religious people stupid but they are certainly very naive. Throughout this thread you will find only extremely weak and bad reasons on why people believe in god, I haven't found a single intelligent post yet.

For what I have seen in the world, Nothing comes out by chance, everything needs to be created, if the food that we eat don't just appear but is made by a cook then why do we deny that there is indeed a creator out there in the universe.

Mountains don't need a creator to be created, nature and different processes creates mountains, not everything needs a creator, that's a retarded assumption. Everything comes out by chance and it doesn't at the same time, it's equally probable for you to exist than not.

This question can only be answered if the word "God" is clearly defined. Without a clear definition, it is impossible to prove that god exists or does not exist. Imagine that you were asked to prove the existence of X without being mentioned very clearly, what is X. The same problem about God is that almost all religions have their own description of God. Some people think of him as a person who can be angry and willing, some say God is human consciousness itself. This makes proving God is impossible when all have different definitions.

My issue with this is that beliefs aren't inherited, they are taught. our parents were religious nit because they were born that way, but because they have been indoctrinated since birth, the same way you have. 

By the time you are old enough to form your own beliefs, you have already been told for so long what the "truth" is that it is hard to challenge.

If i have children I will not teach them any religion until they have developed enough critical thinking skills to tell make believe from reality.  Only then are they developed enough to make a choice of what to believe.
