I still haven't received my coins. Did anyone takeover this project? Did you talk with the dev about the take over? A takeover can make this coin go good.

If you want your coins take 100 DOGE and you can buy them.  As far as talking to the DEV, he has made his money and still is trying to dump the premine.

When will get coins to wallet or its a shit coins just make people entertain.

Is here anybody got coins in wallet(Desktop).

Also where is listed on exchanger? what is price ?

The network is moving so yes you can get coins into your Windows wallet.

I'm currently battling with gitian to try to compile a version of the Peepcoin Windows client which doesn't need any config, so more people can join the network.

Exchanges:

https://live.megacrypton.com/market/56  - PEEP/BTC
https://live.megacrypton.com/market/57  - PEEP/LTC (crazy prices and no order history - ignore for now)

https://www.coinexchange.io/market/PCN/BTC  - PEEP/BTC
https://www.coinexchange.io/market/PCN/DOGE  - PEEP/DOGE (this is where it's all happening right now)

I have hosting space that can be used, just need to get a new domain name. Shall we start the keep peep coin alive moment?  Grin

yes that is funny

Well lets do it then, what we going to call the website?

Maybe my 65m peeps will have some value lol

Problem with that is before any Peeps have value we would have to burn through the billions the DEV still holds.

Thought I'd poke my head back in here after a few days. This waste of time isn't totally dead yet?

Looks like he's got some OSMIUMCOIN graphics going on too. Osmium is that you?

edit-  I looked one comment above and saw Morantis' post. Glad this is dead, not that it was ever alive.

edit-  I looked one comment above and saw Morantis' post. Glad this is dead, not that it was ever alive.

In the past 24 hours:

- 30,432,662 PEEP minted over 2,698 blocks
- 26 transactions (specific value transfer to another address, not just PoW rewards or PoS staking)
- 6 DOGE/PEEP trades (both buying and selling)
- 9 peer connections

I'd say you might call this "distressed", but it's certainly not dead. How about we look forward, rather than dwelling on the past?

I'm still working on compiling the Windows client with no config file needed, when/if that's done I'll make it available on a website, and perhaps also include a FAQ section.

After hours of fighting with Gitian, Ubuntu package configurations, the weird leveldb building process, and a bunch of misnamed libraries, the client FINALLY compiles cleanly!

Doesn't look very exciting - it should be exactly the same client as the originally released one - but it includes seed peers, which the original client lacks, so that there is no need to mess with config files.

Now working on linking newer versions of boost, qt, openssl so that the release is up to scratch.

Can't do anything about the horrible colour scheme. Yecchhhh

OK I would like to see if this thing can be recovered, if only as a thank you to peep coin for all the fun that was had in the masses of pages of this ANN.

So, I will kick things up a bit, the next 30 people to post their peepcoin address will each get 100,000 pcn to do what you wish with.

I had over a million plus those I had bought and they never came,

Question from a layman to a techie. Can't we redesign the GUI of the client?

The DEV is gone, he's dumping the pre-mine to get everything he can from the pig.  Before this coin goes anywhere (I don't think it will) we would have the burn through the DEVs billions of coins.

The images and icons can probably be edited or replaced fairly easily (there are files such as 'splash2.png' and 'staking_on.png' in the source code archive) but I don't have any experience with modifying the GUI itself. It can be done, though.
