I also recommend Bitsend if you want to invest a coin with masternode.
Within a few months you can get a high profit and a gain in value, but you need a lot of capital to invest in this coin.

1500 Saros needed to seed a masternode

No exchanges yet. It's hard to say what will happen with this one.

how is the ROI calculated on any masternode, I see some coins have higher ROI then others what influence this ROI?

It's the amount of blocks generated per node. Different calculations. Supply of the coins, amount of nodes, etc.

My top are blocknet, crown and kore
And wagerr should be starting soon and extreme sports

Nav coin recently released an updated roadmap for this years development and soon they will be introducing valenodes which are masternodes running on their new Valence platform: https://navcoin.org/project-roadmap/

However, it does not state exactly when to expect those to be ready and it also does not specify how many coins you will need to create a valenode. My best guess is that it will be 10,000 NAV per valenode which even at the current price will be a lot, but I feel that Nav is a sleeping giant already and these guys will most likely be around for the long term.

Nodes as in masternode or just normal node? If you are talking about masternode, there is a lot of upcoming masternode. Just like syscoin needs 100k to be a masternode but the mainnet is not yet release. So you have to wait for it. Similarly, etp, qtum and safex when moving to mainnet, there is possible to have nodes in mind.

Smartcash recently released one. Quite low entry too, despite the recent price hike. (about 6-7k usd to get one node)

Wait until XUEZ is released which is a fork of the old XIOS.  Great masternode program. They are currently in alpha testing.
