Perhaps Bitcoin can be already considered as an international currency. Anyone can use it over the world, and there is already a lot of people using it every day. The problem is that the number is not that high compared to the use of fiat money. It's required that more phisical shops start accepting it, so the currency can attract more customers.

International currency it's not about the people is using it for every day and but international currency having some definition but for considering the purpose of bitcoin is made, we will take a definition about the international currency it means in a digital scope.

I dont think bitcoin can become international currency, because most of the people still not recognized bitcoin and they still doubt about bitcoin potential, because there are a lot of negative news about bitcoin, and bitcoin still need to work on the transaction speed to be used as currency

Many many many years to come before it becomes an international accepted currency, probably not even in our lifetimes, but I hope so though.

Yes it is true hope more bitcoin users will join the community to make bitcoin more stronger. Without people using bitcoins, bitcoin as a currency will become a failure since its value depends on the market price brought by the buy and sell orders. But though bitcoin needs more people the number of people using bitcoins today is sufficient enough to run the business of bitcoins and make it survive.

I think, at this moment in time that Bitcoin is more of an international currency than any other on the planet.  It is not that widespread and not widely accepted, HOWEVER, I am sure that it is the one currency that is used in the most countries at the same time than any other.

Yes bitcoin is a digitial and New currecny. See whats happens with FIAT Currencies.
Even the super power nations could not make the Euro work for more than a novelity.  It is still there, but I can easily walk into the countries that adopted it and use their local currency and be more accepted than dropping a Euro two miles from the airport.

it's already is IMO, You can buy any other currency with bitcoin anyway so it's an international currency, If you meant as the official currency of a country or the like then it would take sometime for a move like that to happen "if you don't include islands with 3 members population".

Yes bitcoin is used online and if not it can be converted to any fiat so I think its already an international currency but also the fact is that it can never replace any major fiat currency.

Until and unless bitcoin is used by government and its agencies for international trades and is accepted by UN and IMF,it can not be called international currency even if every individual living on this planet start using it

And I don't think that will ever happen, as Government will never support bitcoins as it is an threat to their national currency and no one wants to see digital currency taking over fiat currency.

no matter how much bitcoin is going to grow the government will never agree with its growth and will do evrything to prevent it.
but that is only going to go so far, it will eventually come to an end and bitcoin can go up normally without their interuptions.

Bitcoin is already an international currency, people all over the world from all countries use Bitcoin. With exceptions in some small countries or North Korea, they do not have internet. If you thoughtof Bitcoin being used as an official currency for countries and Bitcoin being more popular than fiat, it is not really going to happen.

I don't think many people are using bitcoin at a moment and I feel people who are part of this forum are only using bitcoins as everyone here is saying that people around them are not aware about bitcoins.

I think yes, bitcoin has great potential to be a international currency. because bitcoin has many benefits when used as a currency and payment.
