the day is not very far because more and more notion adoption is taking place and people are coming to know it's importance and advantages. So i think in very near future we could see bitcoin as international currency but I am also sure that if it us recognized as international currency then government will ban it in very short time because there is no rules and regulations in bitcoin and even no taxes also

I guess a country would probably consider these factors before adopting something, like the factor of tax or anonymity which bitcoin has, so if a government accepts it even after knowing these things they will have no reason for banning it later on.

Probably it'll not happen. Because, most of the time, government will not allow to change their default currencies they'll face many problems. Still if it happened, sure you can buy anything with Bitcoin.

The only thing we need to do is to create awareness among public on what is bitcoins and what benefits they can offer against fiat currency. Also we need to have support from business establishments as well. If they start offering some exclusive discounts, then we can see a surge in bitcoins usage. If bitcoins usage increases, governments will bow down to the said digital currency and within months, it is given an international currency recognition.

As per my perspective, BTC is already an international currency. By is not uses by many nations for trading. Instead, most are using USD.

There are more than 80% of the people online don't really knew about bitcoin though. all they know is paypal and the rest of the mode of payment. its still USD that is widely known ever. Bitcoin however is gradually getting attention even to the not so techie persons who just want to send money abroad.  My fellow countrymen are already using BTc to send remittances.

One day we may be able to see BTC being recognized as international currency and may be even ETH.

I agree with the fact that not many people know bitcoin, I am sure some ask what is even that? I did that when I was new to it
The only way I think to make more people know about it is, those millions of sites accepting only paypal as payment to also consider use of bitcoin.

Maybe a country might not have to change their default currency for using bitcoin... As in if they use it for international trades to reduce taxes etc and in that way bitcoin would become international as well... But i doubt if the opposite country would also accept bitcoin as a payment for the trades...

Don't worry about it, there is a rumor that paypal is already talking to coinbase and hired the CEO of xapo. So for sure those millions of third party sites are going to be forced to completely adopt bitcoins for their payment system. And I guess that is near to come maybe 2-5 years from now is the most possible timeline.

It depends on your definition of international currency... because if you refer to a currency that can be used anywhere in the world, Bitcoin can already be used in this way, the problem is that some people still do not know the potential and importance of it.

Is bitcoin not an international currency to you? Unless you mean another thing.
Because bitcoin is available right now from almost anywhere as long as you have internet connection.
With anywhere I mean the whole planet world where internet is reachable.

Bitcoin has already become as an international currency.Bigger companies have started accepting Bitcoin. In india, a school has offered to accept school fees in Bitcoin. Some european countries are discussing to levy tax on Bitcoin earnings. They have started accepting that Bitcoin cannot be banned or avoided.I think Bitcoin has already reached the stage of international currency.

Everyday we can see more services accepting bitcoin, like steam for example.

I think it's already a big deal, hope one day companies like google start to accept too.

In my own opinion, bitcoin is already considered as a currency however most of the transactions in using bitcoin are online. Im still looking forward that most of the online merchants will consider bitcoin as a mode of payment. By the way, the use of bitcoin is already widespread worldwide.  Less charges will apply with bitcoin when you use it with online transactions.

I agree, but bitcoin using must be regulated by governments to encourage more people to join Bitcoin and crypto world, however I think Bitcoin will gain more adoption in 2017. yesterday I read nice article about the reasons which will encourage people to use Bitcoin, you can read it if you want: http://www.wealthdaily.com/articles/why-you-should-be-buying-bitcoin-in-2017/8408

The only real issue for me as to why it is not a universal currency is that its tied frequently to the USD and that is done for a lot of things but it would be nice to see some separation from it as well.
Its used everywhere,so it is global in my books, but you could argue the USD is also a global currency.
USD is currently a global currency that is why everyone is tied with it but bitcoin is also coming in the way to become a global currency then everyone will like to do their transactions for their international businesses with bitcoin and bitcoin will be the only international and global currency.

Oh boy, it's gonna be a long time we have to wait if not forever! This thing will only happen if everyone will want to move to digital currency which is very hard especially in poor countries and for the elderly.

I think there is no doubt that bitcoin is already an international currency we all know that bitcoin is accepted all over the world and we are able to send bitcoin to any country of the world so it is enough to say that bitcoin is international currency.

I don't think you'll ever see bitcoin in every shop. Bitcoin is an online cryptocurrency, do you see an online payment method, like paypal, being used to buy coffee? Not usually.
yes that is a fact that bitcoin is not available in every shop  but the use of bitcoin is increasing day by day, as in our area there was not a single shop but now there are two shops who are accepting bitcoin for shopping.
