Bitcoin has no competition

At least in the near future, there won't be much competition for Bitcoin; it's the father of cryptocurrencies and nobody really wants to abandon it for any other currency. It's got huge volume, a large userbase, and unless something bad happens to it nothing will happen.

There are many cryptocurrencies out there like bitcoin but I don't think that you can call it competition cause it's obviously clear that bitcoin is standing out among them. And many altcoins depends/based in bitcoin that's why bitcoin is like the Father among them

Don't you think in this circumstances evolution is kinda limited? Don't get me wrong - I am all way BTC supporter. But how long till ETH or some other alt will catch on?

I think ETH or other altcoin never replace bitcoin. Although ETH is going up it popularity now, but eth still an altcoin. We all now that all of altcoin will be dissapear. But altcoin is good for trade activity. I agree that bitcoin is like father among them, I do not think that other altcoin can survive without bitcoin, becouse the reason of everyone buy bitcoin is they want to get profit in bitcoin.

I can not say that bitcoin have no compitition because theres many cryptocurrency now that release and have potential to become like a bitcoin. So i think bitcoin have many competitors in the near future. But bitcoin is there to support many people.

Basically every other altcoin has never had a decent community spring up around it and be decent in some form, and this means that there is no competitor for Bitcoin because no-one wants to support a competitor in any capacity right now. If there is a crypto that has a large community following, then it could eventually become a competitor.

Well i agree there is/are no one altcoin that could compete bitcoin right now because of the characteristics and the high price of bitcoin no one altcoin can compete it but we dont know in the future the there is one altcoin that can surpass bitcoin interms of price but we dont know yet.

Yes indeed, that Bitcoin is the Father of all bitcoin. Most altcoins are forked from bitcoin.Though there are developers who develop a  different platform now, but it is the bitcoin that gives all the idea.

Correct, theres no really competition up here  on bitcoin hence all altcoin do depend their  prices on bitcoin itself which means  its nonsense. But there are altcoin devs which are eager to do more moves or  development to compete with bitcoin but still they fail on that aim because  bitcoin is  the top of  all cryptos.

Actually bitcoin does have competitions

there's several altcoins that can compete with bitcoin, and even traditional payment methods are competition.

they might have their downsides compared to bitcoin but that does not mean they don't compete.

To be said that it has no competition will be actual false statement.  Might be at present you can say it does not have but just think when banks were opened initialy they did ever thought there would be one day blockchain technology will come and may pose some risks to banks.

In the same way in coming years will have something more better and more useful than btc, which will be more used than this. Yes at present it is the best to be said.

Apart from ETH I think XMR is a tough competitor for bitcoin and may be in future it can replace bitcoin but for that to happen I think it will take very long time.

You shouldn't compare the volatile nature of altcoins with the kind of volatility that we are experiencing with Bitcoin.

Don't forget that a $30 price difference equals a 5% change in value with Bitcoin being valued at $600.

Maybe for you it may not seem like much, but when you think about what's needed to get the price to go up that much, you'll not think like you are doing right now anymore.

I agree what ever altcoins will show up the bitcoin is still no. 1 and cannot be compare on a competition. it became popular on so many years and it will not change. There are still no born coins that will change bitcoin

Definitely you are right. I was also one of those who thought bitcoin will get replaced with something else but all failed and yet bitcoin still lives stronger than ever. I believe bitcoin is the most dominant currency in the online and there is no competition as most of the supporters in the community would prefer to use a dual purpose digital currency than the other, dual purpose in the sense that we can also consider this as an investment.
