You know your biggest market is in the US market.,, The fools will follow the pied piper.
...

Since when in crypto US is a biggest market Cheesy ?
The biggest market in crypto is in China it have 90% BTC volume right now.
Maybe when US will provide more friendly crypto law they will make it possible for US citizens.

....

Em... yeah, it is Iconomi's fault that they solicited money form US investors during the ICO for a product that they can't use.

So are they going to refund US investors their money now?

YEA BAD news for them they can sell ICN just for 200%+ profit today as refund of scam...
They can go liqui and liquidate their USD investments ^^

Etoro.com is also unavailable in US, but they still have more than 20k users trading BTC there and a market cap well north of $100m

The 20k users trading BTC on Etoro.com are NOT from the United States.

Where did you get that $100m market cap figure?

ICN is under a FUD attack from competing projects and people who are trying to accumulate ICN for pennies on the dollar

Looks like I have to start using size 16 green font to cancel out the obnoxious giant red font of these assholes

Last time I checked eToro was a private company, not publicly traded.
I guess he pulled that $100m market cap figure from his ass.

I believe he means it's market valuation, doesn't have to be traded publicl to have a  market valuationNot sure if it's worth a 100M but probably based on the investments and stake of the investors.

That's what I said.  They have more than 20k users trading BTC, despite not being available in US.  If Iconomi platform matches that number, then ICN would represent the #3 largest userbase on coinmarketcap.com behind BTC and ETH.

Confirming our earlier post on the matter, retail forex broker eToro has successfully raised $27 million from units of China’s Ping An and Russia’s Sberbank. Current investors Spark Capital and BRM also participated in the financing. The round also includes a credit facility from Silicon Valley Bank.

Industry sources tell LeapRate that the financing was done at a valuation well north of $100 million for eToro.

Looks like the real big money international investors don't care if a product isn't available to US market.

They way that they don't pay US taxes are cousing that they are registered at some tax haven to avoid legally them.
Many wealthy people are running offshore companies to avoid taxation ^^ or to pay 0% tax at end.

...
You're right, well I guess it's time to sell then, maybe buy more melons.
...

If ICONOMI legal advisors decided that is not worth now getting into US its meaning something.
Other projects who want run it on US side will have to face same problems with US law.
Oh yea maybe Trump will change law only for them ^^ in some executive order.

Biggest crypto market is now China not US and US citizens have to leave their EGO for that knowledge ^^...
Maybe sadly but this is true...
World in no longer so dominated by US like it were 20years ago.
Which wars they won lastly Cheesy ? Syria Irak Afghanistan Libia maybe war on terror - oh wait Cheesy...
Some president wanted Muslim ban ^^ yea US is winning everywhere.

Get ready to sending in your Identification cards & Passports to some unknown people in Slovenia.

4.1 THE WEBSITE AND ITS PRODUCTS ARE NOT OFFERED FOR USE TO THE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (“USA”) REGARDLESS OF THEIR LOCATION

Well, I'll send you back to the reply I've just posted on another so called "crypto-anarchist-anon".

If Iconomi is to be a proper financial institution, selling crypto assets to traditionnal VC investors, they've got to provide the means to achieve this.

This is KYC. This is AML.
This. Is. Law. This is regulation.

You don't have to agree with it, you don't have to comply with it, but then you stay out.  Smiley

Of course, you can stay with the kids and play with pocket money, wondering why the whole crypto market cap is still peanuts compared to traditionnal hedge funds, after a mere 8 years of activity.
Or you can realise the old-economy whales will want legitimate businesses to invest big time in, not shady anon pnd exchanges for the tech-savvy crypto-geeks. I'm looking at you, Polo.

You're missing the point which is :

4.1 THE WEBSITE AND ITS PRODUCTS ARE NOT OFFERED FOR USE TO THE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (“USA”) REGARDLESS OF THEIR LOCATION

They collected funds during the ICO from US citizens, now they're blocking them from using the product they invest in.

Easy to address it too, as the answer is pretty much the same : this goes back to the same point about law and regulation.
Yes, they indeed offered an ICO in which they allowed anyone to invest in BTC. Nothing illegal here.

Concerning the platform use, though, you cannot really blame them for playing it on the safe side. They never declared US citizens would be able to use it in the first place. Nor did they declare they wouldn't.

Let's assume you're an US citizen and feel wronged because you could invest -in crypto- in the project, but can't use the product.
I'd rather have them deprive - probably temporarily - the US users from using the platform in order to avoid a costly and time consuming legal shitstorm.
You'd apparently rather have them letting you use the product, even if it puts the whole project at stake ?

This is BS.

Totally backing them on being extra careful and launching where they know they can launch safely eg. Europe, and probably even China before the US of A.
Not ICN's fault if the US laws are so restrictive in order to protect morons from themselves, and in order to protect lobbies who write them.  Smiley

EDIT : By the way, nothing forbids you from hodling ICN, or selling your bag on Kraken.

Can you tell me reasons why US people who have ICN or will buy them on exchange like BTC want use Iconomi.net ?
Same time those tokens are operational without any need of visit ICONOMI website.
If some US citizen are really determined to use ICNX or ICNP they can do it by offshore companies (wealthy people)
or for not so wealthy they have to make few accounts Cheesy and transfer USD below KYC limit.

^^ don't  blame ICONOMI for US restricted law

BTW which are top US exchanges form list ?
http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#markets
As far i know Poloniex didn't apply for some US license to be not restricted by US law.
https://news.bitcoin.com/poloniex-leaves-new-york-due-to/
"In accordance with the New York State Department of Financial Services, Poloniex will no longer be allowed to provide services to residents of the State of New York"

Looks like US is banning US people too from using crypto in some areas.
