it makes sense to me to "validate" newbies on this way. but it sucks that the 4-hour counter seems to be buggy. sometimes it looks like it stops working. after a re-login it runs again.

Good thing it's only 5 posts. It's not a lot of bother when I need something.

Well, I've been silently reading the mining & economics parts of that forum since mid-2010 (when GPU mining was at its begining Smiley

Today, I want to post something and... OH! I've just discovered the newbie restrictions  Sad

I ran into the same issue. I've been lurking forever and never needed to post and now that I want to…I’m held back by newbie jail.

I have a solution for 7970s which runs very slow(about 480KHash/s) on LTC. Can't wait any more to share it.

Ugh. I guess new member posting limits reduces the need for moderators.

You should have a message at the top of the screen saying what the posting requirements are, cuz it just looks like your forum is broken after registering.

Just need to ask a specific question in the p2pool thread, which seems to be the only place to get help for it.

Searched for your solution, mind sharing it with the rest.  Have no problem getting over 600 Kh/s out of a 7950 would hope the 7970 could do better.
