Agama on a Ubuntu USB Drive

Here are instructions about how to create a bootable USB flash drive, and run Agama from it.

You might want to do this if:
 - you are having technical problems with your current operating system (Agama is built and tested on Ubuntu 16.04)
 - you only have a 32 bit operating system (Agama requires 64bit)
 - you want to be able to run Agama spontaneously from any computer

See the guide below, and let us know if you run into any problems. We just quickly made it, without any feedback or testing.

Hey everyone, here is a great blog post by Nick Szabo worth reading: https://unenumerated.blogspot.co.za/2017/02/money-blockchains-and-social-scalability.html

I post it here because right around the middle he writes something which I believe is exactly where Komodo fits in:

"These necessary tradeoffs, sacrificing performance in order to achieve the security necessary for independent, seamlessly global, and automated integrity, mean that the Bitcoin blockchain itself cannot possibly come anywhere near Visa transaction-per-second numbers and maintain the automated integrity that creates its distinctive advantages versus these traditional financial systems. Instead, a less trust-minimized peripheral payment network (possibly Lightning ) will be needed to bear a larger number of lower-value bitcoin-denominated transactions than Bitcoin blockchain is capable of, using the Bitcoin blockchain to periodically settle with one high-value transaction batches of peripheral network transactions."

Congrats James, I believe you and your team are on the right path and these hacks you are having to deal with are just a necessary hardening of your software and network security in order to be a viable option for a much larger user base and market cap... Trial by fire is never easy, but it makes you stronger and more knowledgeable.

Keep up the great work!

Decentralize EVERYTHING!

What is historically lowest price? Considering how team is dedicated and working seriously i'm assuming this can be very good opportunity at the moment. And unsuccessful "attack" is maybe real proof someone wants lower price.

Can this be mined solo on win7 and how? Instructions are welcomed.

I have a transaction listed in my wallet I do not understand. See below.

Is this a anonymous transaction because numbers of confirmations is unkown? Also, what does the message "Z address not listed by wallet" mean?

is it true you are doing atomic swaps? Would that be in Komodo or Supernet?

BitBay supports CLTV so when you finsih with that platform please let us know how to get added.
Since BitBay is working on decentralized pegging, we need a place to trade outside of an exchange. Not that we can't have them run our API
but our coin needs decentralized exchange for this exact reason. So let me know please. If you want you can PM me.

Thanks!
The iguana core is what does the actual atomic swaps. Adding a bitcoin compatible coin will be a matter to run an LP node that makes a market for it. I will do my best to make them easy to setup. Once there are LP nodes for a coin, the Agama GUI will use the iguana core to enable native atomic DEX

Currently I am dealing with bulletproofing the network, so a bit of a delay for this, but I was working on finalizing the JUMBLR BTC <-> KMD dex tradebots, so just need a bit more time and it will be ready

Is there any truth to the rumor that KMD is going to be listed on polo soon?

That's a factual rumour in that there many rumors and that's definitely one of the rumors

Cheers Jon

I requested mine on 15 Mar and it's still showing as pending.

Hey harox, Be a little patient; this coin is a giant that's about to wake up. Komodo is no joke.
When it wakes up, nothing will be able to keep up.

Whilst the price is disappointing the engagement from the development team, primarily the lead, has been good.  I don't expect guaranteed profit from a coin but I do expect the dev team to work hard when they have my money from an ICO; and the Komodo team is working hard.

If you want to see hype worth more than the pitch go and check out Waves.  The second that I break even with it I'm getting out of that shitshow of a project.

Totally agreed. I want to add that considering the problems happening, the way they were picked up and fixed was nothing less than excellent; exactly what one would expect from a solid dev team. Personally i like to buy at these moments because the market is in fear but a good dev team will fix it anyway, which will give a huge impulse to the market when the code is stable again.

As far as long term goes this project has quite some potential

Today I got the chance to download and  install agama desktop and it was smooth. Upon checking my balance plus interest earned, it did not seem to move. Is the effect of rolling back the chain suspended the generation of interest? Just need to know thank you.
