There is still alot of technical problem that this project is still encountering, this doesn't built trust in the capapcity of the team to deliver on their promises, I think that is the reason the price is currently below the ICO price when most of the Altcoins are doing perfectly well in the market

Don't bother getting a serious answer... they will call you a troll and give you negative feedbacks. This coin is a waste of time.

Actually, it's you who are the waste of time. It's very clear to see that you have never coded anything in you life let alone a complicated system such as this. But, some of us do find your comments comical, although I'm sure they were not intended to amuse, so, there is that entertainment factor.

If you are interested about the technical details why Iguana was renamed to Agama you can read the following Slack post by Satinder:

Quote from: grewalsatinder
I see 1 question asked  again and again, and someone also asked that same in PM. So, sharing the answer here in public channel as well:
Quote
I had a question about Iguana's name change
Why as it done?

Iguana Desktop execution file name was Iguana with capital I, and iguana daemon which provides iguana APIs was iguana with small letter i

now we have noticed the wallet sometimes doesn’t kill the previous iguana daemon, and the session keeps running using that.

user starts the wallet again, and the new session password doesn’t match with the previous session password running iguana daemon process.

that leads to non-responsive, non-working Desktop.

So, the solution was when the Desktop Wallet starts, kill any previously running iguana daemon, and then start the new iguana daemon process.

But, there’s the problem

to the kill command it doesn’t really matter if it’s small letter iguana or capital letter Iguana. It’ll just kill that.

So, activating that code resulting in killing the Desktop Iguana Process, and that made impossible to solve this technical issue.

On the other hand from marketing point of view, it was quite confusing talking about Iguana Desktop an iguana core!

So, the most ideal solution! Rename the Desktop Wallet name!

Since we are at very small scale and still building our userbase it doesn’t cost anything to do this change.

And we renamed Iguana Desktop to Agama Desktop.

ok but i have now a real issue when i start agama i get that error

Hi Devs,
I got the same error when i installed wallet versions 0.1.5 & 0.1.6 on my Windows 10 laptop computer too.

But i have no problems to installed Agama wallet on my Windows 10 desktop computer.
I only having this error on my Window 10 laptop computer...the only version that can work on my laptop computer is version "IguanaApp-0.1.4-beta-windows-installer.exe"

EDIT: i already deleted everything in my AppData directory before i installed the wallet too

Did you try to the zip or installer release? i.e.

AgamaApp-0.1.6.0e-beta-win-x64.zip
or
AgamaApp-0.1.6.0e-beta-windows-installer.exe

Do you have Visual C++ Redistributable Packages installed? The installer releases install these to your system. Double check you have them.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-nz/download/details.aspx?id=48145

Hi Devs,
-Yes i tried both of the versions, zip and installer.
-Yes i have the Visual C++ Redistributable Packages installed installed too.

But still have the same error on my Windows 10 laptop computer.
But it working on my Windows 10 desktop computer...but it not working on my Windows 10 laptop computer.
As i said earlier, the only version that can work on my laptop computer is version "IguanaApp-0.1.4-beta-windows-installer.exe

i am using a laptop too (netbook)

Hi Devs,
Can i suggest you guys to focus on releasing the simple Windows wallet for Komodo first.
Because it seem you still need a lots of time to iron out all the bugs from Agama wallet. At least after you guys releasing the simple Komodo wallet, then you guys can get back to upgrading Agama wallet and adding all the Apps and Decentralize Exchange into Agama.

I remember not long ago, that you guys wanted to release the update for the Windows wallet..so hope it will be out soon.
By the way, I have no plan to sell my KMD any time soon...just need a good wallet to check my 5% dividend everyday  Grin

On nodes with decent bandwidth, full sync from scratch is about an hour. I think 25mbits/sec speed might be required to achieve this, maybe a bit faster.

If you have a 9600 baud modem, it will take quite a bit longer.

We are at block 250500 and other than the interest miscalc, things are looking quite smooth.

I decided to not start a new release cycle just for the interest miscalc, so the master branch is ready to go. There will be a planned update April 5th with the interest fix and other things, but without any crazy rush to push it out the door.

tl:dr if you are running komodod and havent update to the 250000 version, pull from the master branch and rebuild. There will be a scheduled update that activates April 5th later in the week.

For the people getting the Java errors check the komodo process is running in task manager.

Avast was killing it on my system.

Also check that komodo.conf was created in roaming.

KMD market price is back over .0001 on Bittrex.  Long road back, but congrats to those who bought at around .0006.  That is big profits in a short period of time.

Count me in buddy, I was able to increase my stake at Komodo and bought it at its lowest price. I think I will never come across with that price again .

For the people getting the Java errors check the komodo process is running in task manager.

Avast was killing it on my system.

Also check that komodo.conf was created in roaming.

I thinks that is one of the problem..i missing some of the folders in my roaming.

I missing this 2 folders from my roaming:
-"iguana" folder (missing)
-"Komodo" folder (missing)

But i only have this 2 folders in my roaming:
-"Agama" folder
-"ZcashParams" folder

I guess in normal working Agama wallet you have all this 4 folder inside your roaming:
-"Agama" folder
-"Komodo" folder
-"iguana" folder
-"ZcashParams" folder

EDIT: just checking my desktop computer & my laptop computer again, both have all the 3 folders (Agama, iguana, ZcashParams) are all in the roaming. But my desktop wallet are working good and my laptop wallet are not working at all, so this folders doesn't give any different at all  Grin ...so I'm still wondering why my laptop wallet are not working

Bittrex wallet is still under maintenance. Has anyone from the Komodo community been in contact with them? Missing out on staking rewards while they figure out their wallet issues. (yes, I'm well aware that this isn't Bittrex support - I just figured I'd ask here first)

Yes, we asked them to disable deposits/withdrawals due to the recent attacks (4 in total) we experienced. Thus no one can lose money while we implement the bug fixes. Like jl777 explained previously, these attacks happen after we publish the fix for a known attack-vector as the code is open source.

There's one crucial block we need to get over with, and after that we will ask them to enable withdrawals/deposits again. It's better to play it safe.

Gotcha. I'm all for playing it safe - thanks for the explanation.

KMD market price is back over .0001 on Bittrex.  Long road back, but congrats to those who bought at around .0006.  That is big profits in a short period of time.

Count me in buddy, I was able to increase my stake at Komodo and bought it at its lowest price. I think I will never come across with that price again .

I added some at .00085.  But it is up to .00011 on Bittrex and hit .00012 earlier.

When can I withdraw interest?
it automatically accumulates, there is no need to withdraw it.
just spend as normal and you can spend more (by the interest) than you originally received.

however between now and April 5th, there is a miscalculation of the interest for middle sized amounts where it could give you less, so best to wait until April 6th

Agama wallet will show your interest separately. it is on the blockchain and no special action is needed
